Is there a PG Track Day on 28 Oct 07???

Coming home for a two week holiday break in a few days time.

 

Thought I read or heard somewhere that there is a PG track day on the 28th of this month... is it true? If so... who is going?

 

To my Bros who are taking part in the races at Sepang..... I wish you guys all the best. We are damn proud of you guys!! Ride hard, ride safe.

 

Unfortunately I just cannot book a flight to come back earlier or not I will be up there in Sepang to cheer you guys on.

Ya... I wish. The only smoke you gonna see is from my exhaust pipe.

 

I just came back from the go kart track. I low sided again today... the 3rd time in one month.

Spin back wheel some more lah... then kena sandy part, next thing is bike spinning away from me.

Lucky got axle sliders, footpeg sliders and handguards... all got scraped but bike body got nothing. Thanks to the fat bar handlebars too, nothing was bent. Pick up the bike, start and go again, just like the previous 2 crashes... just like a lunatic. No repair costs to worry about.

 

I think if this bike was my ex CBR100RR.... confirm cry like no tomorrow. Upz for the DRZ... upz for supermotards, most crash proven bike I have ever owned.

 

Come to think of it... it makes for a more lunatic rider on the track coz you are really not afraid of crashing liao.

 

PS - Oh by the way I forgot to mention.... thanks to the boots, gloves, back armour and Spidi leather suit.. I got no bruises.

And the winner of the 5 Lap Tongkat Ali Challenge for DRZ400SM goes to Shah Oli aka Holy Devil.

 

He rode his son's bike... and it was not that his son's bike was fast... both bikes were equally equipped with aftermarket pipes and FCR39 carbs. Luckily for him... he changed back to a 41 tooth rear sprocket from a 45 tooth or else I would have easily overhauled him down the back straight.

 

Both bikes were hitting 170kmh at the bottom of the back straight before Turn 2 during the 5 Lap Race for under 400cc category.

 

Although it was his first ride on the DRZ400SM in a 5 Lap Race... his vast race experience and skill in riding made it very difficult for me to overtake him although I was biting at his heels all the way.

 

Actually I don't mind losing to him.... but its his cynical laughter and showing me his butt gesticulating to me to kiss it... during the cool down lap that I cannot hack.

 

But it was fun.

 

Now I fade away from the scene again to lick my wounds..... but I will be back for revenge in 6 to 8 months time.

Erm... I thought it was that obvious as mentioned in my post... I was the one doing all the chasing and doing an off track excursion out of the last corner on the last lap in a messed up attempt at gunning the throttle too early in the turn resulting in drifting way too wide.

 

I was the one with the red, white and black Revit suit and black helmet, Shah was with the black and orange suit.

 

Bike wise, mine was with the carbon fibre Yoshimura Tri-cone with a red muffler slider on it.

Why is it you and Hartholomew are always waiting for me to bring back that bike for the both of you to trash?

 

A very strange thing was happening to me during the 5 lap race. All I was thinking about was how early can start whacking the throttle open in the corner and how late can I delay my downshift before entering the corners just to get a good drive out of the corner on him.

 

I feel more calm and comfortable with the bike's handling now then before. Probably must be the amount of track time put in beginning to pay back.

 

Yes... I will be putting in more track time, thats for sure.
