yes the bike has key identification system like Vtec3 ,the name is not very nice though hahahaha it is known S.A.I.S

I'm going to buy a 400cc bike soon. however, i would like to gauge the price of my choices.

 

Does anyone know the price of a Super 4 Spec 2 and a Suzuki GSR 400?. Second-hand pricing is also welcome.

GSR4 r mostly 1st hand bike. spec 2 is 2nd hand bike... GSR4 OTR shd b ard $13k to $14k depending on ur insurance n hire purchase period. spec 2 now shd b ard 6k to 8k depending on number plate n conidtion...

spec 2 is 2nd hand so price wise will b cheaper. even a new spec 3, price wise shd b slightly cheaper than GSR.

 

i'm riding a GSR now... recommandation? i can only ask u wat u like n wat u prefer. S4 n GSR is 2 different bike. do read up the difference of the 2 bikes n make a prudent decision...

Spec 2 - VTEC technology, carburator model, 160/55 rear tyres, bi-shock.

 

GSR4 - Raw engine (u'll love the growl), fuel injection, 180/55 rear tyres, mono-shock (dun need to worry about disappearing shocks)

 

CONS about the GSR4: the fuel tank is smaller than the spec 2, no under seat storage (enough for ur insurance papers n parking coupons though), 180/55 rear tyres means u'll be paying for class 2 tyres, n the weight of the bike is almost the same as a class 2 bike. i dropped my bike before n it took quite alot of effort to lift up the bike, even with the technique SSDC teaches class 2 trainees.

 

despite the cons, i still love my GSR.. but go ahead with the spec 2 if u think the gsr is crap

underseat i can squeeze a bike cover in with 2 small cloth. paper document, i shrink to smaller size, then put in my wallet.

 

GSR4 put box not so nice but actually not bad oso... depends on how u paste the stickers... i still can't find the right sticker to paste...

 

 

parts of S4 can b found easily everywhere even in ur neighbourhood. n every traffic light, smelly smelly can c one S4.

Looi is cheaper. It is about the same price as southern, just difference in the goodie, warranty etc.

there is a couple of GSRs with boxes. looks ok. not that bad looking but of cos, panniers will b a better choice. but due to the difficulty in squeezing thru traffic, topcase is used instead...

how abt handling? many ppl claims that GSR4 has a better handling and engine response in comparison to s4. but then again, g400 creates significantly more vibrations too.. hmmm...
