How many months of installments are owed before they do such a thing?

1, 2 or 3 months?

If they missed the deadline by a few days.. such actions are too much. If a few months.. and despite reminders... it is justifiable.

I dun think it the shop who did it, it muz be the shop tt engaged those 3rd party debts collector. My bro kena b4 got 2 gangster type ever been to my hse in the middle of the nite to collect overdue instalments, bang my door ask for my bro but my bro was not ard then they ask me to pay up! i heck care them & slam the door.

On behalf of a friend, dated 9/8/2007

 

It must have been extremely shocking and embrassing day to find a discriminating ugly handwritten notice on my friend window panel one 9/8/2007, bringing attention to whomever neighbour that passes by his house. Obviously an unprofessional way to collect any debts

 

M1/S1 MOTORING is an establised motorbike company which SHOULD be able to send out proper MAILS with company letterhead instead of harrassing their clients in this CHEAP way.

 

The person Which looks like a hooligan was an obviously rude looking ruffian whom delibrately pasted an extremely ugly notice on an A4 size foolscap paper stating my friend FULL NAME (in upper case), VEHICLE NUMBER and the OUTSTANDING AMOUNT In RED marker on his window panel showcasing it, thus resulting the whole of his neighbourhood to gaze at it,

I believe anyone would feel offended if they are in his situation.

 

Is this how an established motorcycle company show how they collect their debts?

pasting a foolscap paper with musking tape with scribbling notes with red marker??

Sad news. I also i from that shop. I implicated the 1st owner for not paying up for ..ummm...i dont remember...3 to 5 months. I know how it sounds but i quickly settle it. they went to the house late at night. funny thing is. i paid up a few month installment at a time. so that friday i payed up plus some ali baba legal stuff. but i was processed a few days back and even though i was taken of the blacklist, the debt company went ahead due not updated in time. Suay suay, the owner kena. Even though they looks like gansters, they were quite diplomatic. Lucky settle very fast. Haha.

 

Oh if your thinking if i still do it...NO...i settle my bike till next year April liao. But since if i want the bike must pay early payments penalty, must wait....boo hoo..

I bought my previous GSXR400N from S1 Motoring when their branch was still along Changi Road. The guy I dealt with, Ah Mok, is a decent chap. No such problems with the company maybe due to the fact that I paid my installments early or promptly on time...

yeah.. i was recommended to the shop S1 @ ubi c0z of my gdfren.. n ah mok treat me very very nice also.. fix lil lil things he dun charge one...

& i paid my installments earlier den usual c0z i dun wan to implicate things for him..

 

one advice, pay ur dues early better than to be sorry.

No money, then dun buy bike lah...Or your friend run into some major financial issues recently?

 

Suppose you owe the bike shop a few installments, it is in the hundreds.

Even if they tow the bike back, the money still have to be paid!

It's a fair deal, if you dun pay, they have to make you pay somehow.

 

Alright, the method is not very nice, but let's not forget who is in the wrong in the first place.

Maybe ask the person in question to go down to the shop ad try to reach some kind of agreement. Posting in forum/s does not help matters, I suppose.

there are reasons why they dun tow your friends bike.

 

1) towing needs money.... incur more cost... your friend willing to pay?

2) parking at his garage... incur daily charge... your friend willing to pay?

well guys cool man... is a common trade of a 3rd party debt collection. Report police also not much use as he neatly use tape and tape the paper there. No Vandalism? and it is true that ur friend owe $, i guess quite a hugh amount that the S1 or M1 decided to use a third Party (Cost Incur). The saying goes try not to wear a big cap when don have such a big head. From my point of view they would rather tow your friend`s bike. But i guess your friend has been parking his bike elsewhere to escape the towing ya. Got some friends ever did that also. So try to get the facts clear before making such a post. Kind of damaging to the company Reputation.
