no to buy coolant.. coz gotta drain it ah bro... then fill up wif new coolant

not easy to DIY

 

tat time i go bike shop they quote around $50 to do it..

 

koma did his for $40 if i remember correctly :thumb:

Yea, remove that and u will see 1 hell of a difference in the temp..Did that on my gixxer and loving it.. :cheers:

 

Removing thermostat also mean it's like removing the Cat on the R1 bikes,isit?o_O

i think no.. wat we toking abt removing the thermostat is letting the coolent flow without blockage ..

 

R1 i think u are toking abt the Y pipe mod tat lower the temp rite?

nope...thats the thermometer...thermostat is to regulate the coolant according to the tempreture of the bike...but in our tropical climate....it will do no harm to ur bike if it is removed...as far as i know..thermostat is most efficent in cold countries as the function is to keep the engine temp constant in the water jackets available in the engine block so as to maximize optimal engine tempreture to ride on the road.engine need certain temp to work 'beautifully' so in this case our tropical climate,it is already warm...so dun worry bout it.

yup...all vehicles have it...its a standard thingy....remove if u know how...its easy...but im too lazy....like i say...i know where to see n open...but the practical jobs will be done by my riding partner...:angel: :cheeky:

 

he is more to the hands on n practical...i only ride...n feedback to him or my mech.....:lol:
