I think your bike is an agent bike..to know for sure look for the HL sticker on your swingarm. If don't have the HL sticker anywhere then you can assume its parallel import.

 

WoW..your bike is expensive dude..but not fair to compare yours to mine. Different year model and different market at that time.

 

Initially I found mine a good buy cos I got some plus included..but after Bro Lion o8 cost him $700 cheaper..than I think mine is about par with him..

 

My plus I got frm I Motoring..you may ask? I got my brand new LV full sys at half price..

 

So plus minus..on par with Bro Lion price.

 

my bike from HL...but HL is selling much much lower den tis...

any way it suppose to be cheaper but due to some paper work which i sign without looking at it land me into every month paying $408. which suppose to be $358. which is to say that i pay $50 more every month. if i sum that up that will be $3000, this is the amount that i'm not suppose to pay.

if u check exhange rates, jap yen is very high now.bikepro got 2 types, 1 is japan model(powercut limited to 180km/h) going for 20000otr.

the other is uk version(aka hong leong) going for 20700otr. my insurance is quite ex, so for those older riders shud be cheaper.

 

there is a japan model r6 ? nice.. if its realli limited to 180km/h who the heck wld wanna buy it.. and miss out on the 280km/h (indicated) top speed.. lugi 100km/h..

Went to motoworld today to get gear, salesman Nick told me after the new shipment of japan imported apparels come in, gonna be more ex by at least 100. For starters, the rs taichi full suit is at least 2k according to him.

All are made in Japan but the bikes are made according to which country/continent specifications..

Japan model(market) specs bikes are always regulated..

If US model(market)..California spec bikes are the most regulated..(I think so)

Usually European model(market) is not regulated except for emission/sound and all this kind of things..

 

I hope I'm right.. But I think some thing like that..

Heard of 1 unsuspecting buyer who bought Japanese model CBR1000RR..poor guy can only go 100 over Km/hr..Even a KR 150 can makan him..

i din ride my bike there that day .. acc my fren drove there as they playing with car .. coz i saw a FBC plate R6 too .. so i thought it was u

 

bro barongan .. im selling my bike already .. currently put at 1 shop at bukit merah as consignment set .. they helping me to sell

 

if everything goes well for me in mid-end '09 .. might consider getting a R6s .. wont be getting back a litre bike as maintainence too high ..

sorry for the late reply, all the hong leong yamaha bikes we get are UK spec, u can check the uk yamaha website and compare with the usa one. colour scheme totally different.

 

HL quotes higher prices than the bikeshops it distributes to, because they are applying the outsourcing scheme. Think about it, if HL charges cheaper than bikeshops, who wud buy from bikeshops? the 20700 quote i got is for 08 model, with hl warranty. no kidding man. the catch is, no sliders or headlight protector or freebies or iu. thats bout it.

From what i know if you buy from BP, there will be no accessories as their price for the bike is relatively low. My bike when i purchase, i have freebies like full set sliders, balancers, headlight protectors ,canvas ,EO free change etc.
