Looking for 2nd R6, thus i was down at Bike Productions yesterday and they had two very relatively new 2nd hand Yamaha R6 (2010 reg) going for 19K (totally standard) and 19,900K (with Akraprovic slip on), is this price justifiable? it seems really a little on a high side..

 

and any comments on Bike Production? is it a trusted shop?

haha I won't be buying anything from that shop.. unless you buy with a very high down payment and low loan or full cash if not you will be stuck with buying and selling all ur bikes to that shop cos of the early settlement fees.

As for second hand bikes there it is see luck. cos they do not service up the bike if the bike has a problem they juts sell it to you.

Hmm.. have to see what the bike has den see whether it is worth it. I sold my R6 08 two mths back for almost 20K after dekitting her. But that was a hell loads of accessories.

anyway bro slowly look around for the bike. do not rush. and best you can get a shop with no early settlement fees and hidden clauses. The bike may be stock but if condition is good, price reasonable you can consider. den slowly do up the bike. That's the fun part!

bro u looking for first or second hand bikes??? if first hand bikes i can recommand you HLC... i like it cos very straight forward clear cut agreements. no hidden clauses, no early settlement unless u push to shops that charge early settlement.

 

if second hand firstly you gotta source around for a good bike first.. but try to avoid certain places la bro..

what are you riding now? If u are keen to know more abt the bike before you buy it. U can join us for our regular outings and see a lot of R6 with a lot of different mods, headers, mid pipes, exhaust, Bazzaz... den u can ask our opinion also.. get to know us more den we see if we are free can help you go see ur second hand R6 if u are getting second hand.

Gdnoon guys, just wondering how many litre is for r6/08 reserve? My bike's fuel indicator ON at the mileage of 215km and an empty tank at 275km.. Lucky bike died near a petrol station. Quite often on expressway, i go abve the speed limit. -_-

ur bike stock or mods..? fa me, on stock i can get 270-280km before reserve.. reserve can get another 50km.. depends how u ride bro.. maintain below 120km/h if u wanna get better mileage.. but its betta to ride below 100km/h lah.. better mileage & avoid unnecessary fines/demerits.. now, i mods my bike.. 240-250km reserve already.. just my 5 cents.. cheers~

Will take both of your advise properly! just cant wait to get a bike that's all! Slize, now seeing your comments here, lucky i didn't get my bike at both the shops at Bukit Merah (but i guess different rider, different experience they would say)

 

Having said that went over to Looi's motor over the weekend, Mr Lee and the whole bunch there seem nice and "No early settlement", spoke 2 riders there servicing their bike and both gave quite good comments about the shop and they both being buying their bike there.

 

As i was think of settling for a Zx6r (understand it only appeals to a very small market in SG), but they were offering 2008 reg CBR600RR (Brand New) for 21K- seems like an interesting deal) but they didnt have any R6, as Mr.Lee says no stock....

when u turn ur key, usually is 12+v.. after strt engine while idlung will be 13+v.. when u move off will b 14.2v.. any lesser den 12v, pls charge ur battery..

Errr bro if I move off volt stays at 13.8 how? I nvr start bike is 12+, start bike is 13.6-.8 but when move off it remains leh... What is the meter trying to tell me??

hi bro what model are you riding? Could be 2 problems. the simple problem is your biting point is too near. The other problem is ur tps may be having a problem thus when u clutch in the bike stalls. if it's the latter you may have to change ur tps and enrich ur ecu. This problem normally is for 06 models. maybe 07 models also but not too sure. But 08 and above shouldn't be having this problem.

what exhaust set up are you running on? and tuning?
