Any idea wats the market price for a first hand Fazer600 now? and if there is any second hand, wats the price depreciation like?

now currently u can get a brand new FZ6 ABS version OTR minus insurance bout 14K

2nd hand pricing is very subjective... as some comes with add on accessories... depreciation is even harder to calculate as there is not standard depreciation rate formula..

it all depends on the market demands...

Just a new update. Been riding my Fazer600s 07 model ever since it's released. Bought it on May 20ish 2007.

FC was 18-21km/litre. 70% expressway 30% otherwise. I used it to travel to school from Amk to NTU (jurong). Hence PIE is considered my 2nd home.

I bought it at 13800 excluding insurance. Freebies given were 2 FF helmets, sliders and headlight protectors. The usual stuffs such as normal helms and raincoats are given too.

I've did some tweaks to the bike, DIY the air box, installed the K&N filter, Hella Twin Tones, Steel brake hose, Yoshi exhaust, H&B side boxes and the tank bras and etc.

Tyres wise, Im sticking to Pirelli. Tried the Diablo Corsa 3 and Super Dragon Corsa, both are excellent. I'm sticking to SDC. Been using it and never fail to leave smiles on my face.

So now, 2009...

Mileage is pretty high atm, 30120 on the odometer. Everyday ride to school contributes to the high mileage. My previous rides never got more than 10k of mileage for 3 yrs.

FC 18-20km/litre

Same 70% expressway and 30% otherwise. Riders weight still the same, 100kg. 50% of the time with pillion.

The normal maintenance are change of EO, Oil filters, Spark plugs, brake pads and Battery (once).

I've changed the front tyre bearings ($38) too. Think about time to change the steering cone bearings too. Still pending on this, got to have it check.

The clutch cables are changed together with the bearings. ($68)

So maintenance wise, I will say Fazer600 are problemless. Seriously....

Compare it to my R1 and X9, these 2 give me real headaches. Especially the X9, though it cost less than R1, it has so many problems, wiring, radiator, magnetic coil and etc. The list goes on...

Now here comes to trade in price, I bought my bike from ASphoon, I had twice, almost trade in my bike. First trade in price they gave me, 1yr ago was 10k. 2nd trade in price, last month, first quotation was 8350 or 8530, I couldn't remember.

And conclusion for Fazer600 resale value? Extremely high and 2 bike shop bosses told me the same thing, " I'm not afraid of selling Fazers. They are natural Super models ". And it sells faster than S4, hands down.

I might be Left Handed, But I'm Always RIGHT

DIY list

1. Volt Meter

2. Air Box Mod

3. Electric Horn

4. Dual Head Light

5. Removing of Mid Pipe's Cat

Posted

I might miss out on some details, feel free to ask them here. Some stuffs come natural to me and I didn't list it out.

Especially when I posted my bike in Garage sales the other time.

Those scott oiler, paddock stand, Tank Bra, Dainese gloves and jackets, AGV Titech and others are also given with the bike.

Now, I really need a super bike to get me to upgrade to. If not, im sticking to my Fazer600.

Anyone selling Suzuki Waterwolf?

I might be Left Handed, But I'm Always RIGHT

Wanna gather some feedback. which asphoon were u all refering to?

i went to recce hours ago today. a summary of my finding

07 model 12.8k, 08 model 13.8k -- asphoon

09 model 13.8k -- shop beside the asphoon

09 model 13.8k -- shop in industrial park beside the Traffic Police (OTR is 16.5k)

09 model 14.5k -- shop along serangoon road (OTR)

difference between all these are their interest rate and some charges registeration fees and some other fees.

price is around there. if u are above 21, ur insurance should be around 1K odd maybe slightly higher bout 1.2K

its easy to break down the charges, do a break down so as not to get cheated from some shops where they say that they have wat agreement fees...

ya. there was one shop telling me abt agreement fees and it cost 300bucks. wats that? asphoon calculated the break down of installment for me wit 13.8k + 886 (insurance wit AIG). den 4% interest spread 4 yrs and 5 yrs. 5yrs each mth is abt 260+ and 4yrs each mth is abt 300+ with $2100 as downpayment. is this price considered as OTR price? or will they still charge me any other fees?

wats the diff between 07 model and 08 or 09 model? anyone can enlighten me? i can only see their meter is different.

No other fees.

The price he quote you 13.8K + insurance is OTR.

Transfer, roadtax, admin fee,GST ETC all already included in the 13.8K

I got my S4 from ASP recently

very good after sales service

by right u can break down check with him how much is everything in.

so u should get:

OTR everything in = X

Machine price before GST = A

after GST = A x 7%

COE = B - check out the last closing from onemotoring / u can ask them to bid for new upcoming COE pricing so u can save the transfer fees

insurance = C

transfer fees = D

admin fees = E (if applicable)

interest = interest % per year so if its 4% a year, u take the loan amount x the % that will be the interest per year.

for example : u loan 10K and the interest % is 4%

you should be paying $400 a year. if 4 yrs den x 4

so to get X = (A x 7%)+B+C+D+E(if applicable)

to calculate whether they play u out on installments. simple take the OTR price minus away your downpayment. Balance will be the loan amount. Loan amount x % x length of loan will give u the total outstanding loan amount. simply divide by length u will get ur amount per month.

basically 07 and 08 only have got difference in outlook. very minor things.

some of the later batch 08 - 09 models comes with ABS.

If u are talking about different meter, it could be the old batch 04-06 having round meter, 07-09 have the new meter dat is the same as FZ1

my personal opinion after viewing the 2 types of meters above i find the 06 model round meter more chio and stylo... if i buy the fz6 abs model i get the 08 meter arh? if so abit demoralized man.....

Fazer600S2 2007 Damage List

- Hel Brakelines (Carbon), Motovation Sliders, H&B Journey 50L Top Box, DNA Air Filter, Dynamyx Volt Meter, Spy Alarm LM209, Scottoiler V-System, Bagster Tank Bra, Broquet Fuel Charger B5T, PUIG Touring Windshield

hey just checking arh, weeks back i asked bike production to quote me on a particular machine but i asked OTR they give me a price but not inclusive of IU and installation. Other shops also like that one? Or diff shops got diff perception of OTR quotation?

If i ask for quote OTR, a shop still ask for what paper fees lar, GST lar means he is trying to con me right? I want to find out those tell tale signs plz help. So far i usually ask like this, quote me fz6 machine brand new OTR inclusive of everything Nett sum with everything IU, GST. Like this ask is it foolproof?

U know why Yamaha abandoned the "chio round meter"?

Because riders complained that it was damned hard to read the damned tacho LCD. In the end, function prevailed over useless form.

You know what's a good integrated tacho dial?

The ZX-10R's one. At least the tacho is clear, and the speedo is overlayed on top of it. Sort of like a Mercedes Benz's one.

yah this the strange part lor... OTR yet IU not included... I check with BP myself and this their "policy" :cheeky:

the so call administrative fees... dun know wat's that for... "kopi luei"?

my personal opinion after viewing the 2 types of meters above i find the 06 model round meter more chio and stylo... if i buy the fz6 abs model i get the 08 meter arh? if so abit demoralized man.....

hehe my preference is the current model meter... but i find 06 head cowl quite "round" the current model more "sharp" aerodynamic looks...

my fren also highlight to me, the downpayment should be use to waive off payment like road tax, insurance, wat so ever... don't add them into the loan.

example.

downpayment = road tax + insurance + misc fee + IU or something

then the remaining as loan... cos he said rd tax, insurance and the rest should be one shot payment...

If fellow ryders got others info do share around... I'm still learning too. ^^

IMO, since you've all the figures from various shops, what they'll provide and what they won't, list them out in a spreadsheet and do a side by side comparison yourself, only you would know which is the most comfortable approach. Follow your heart. :)
