yup, but none very helpful so far... they get thousands of people in the line and they think i am just trying to get the fine reduced like everyone else. I was a civil servant myself for 9 years last time and i understand how things work... it's slow to a crawl because nobody wants to be involved, everyone of them just wanna go home on time, collect their stable pay and peace in the office. for current systems, tp bikes are installed with an extra meter..

they follow u @ a the same speed, then press a button to record the speed down on the meter. come to u, and say this is ur speed. is the really fair? he can speed @ 180 before hand, record that speed, and come to u and say this is ur speed. it is really his words against yours.

 

i dun support the kopi $$ thing but i feel that they should show us black and white evidence before coming to fine us like "reckless riding on xx oct 2005" now 3G liao gahament so much $$, they should spend more on technology.

sory i think ppl here think speaking up makes changes?? daa?? u live in mars or s'pore... if u're MP & u ride bike ok maybe u have a tiny chance to convince the cabinet to change make s'pore a better to ride ...

thanks to your feedback here... for the while there i feel like giving up, earn more $$$ and work on migration. i heard that nursing commands first place on immigration placing, perhaps i should take up the diploma... and i heard there's plenty of blood to be shed there, ahhh... then only can i pair up to Ghandi...

going upslope doesnt mean we wont be speeding rite? just tat our speed will be slower

its still within their limit to catch us for speeding..

qns 3: How can the TP be sure he caught the right vehicle based only upon naked vision?

 

qns 4: It was declared public by the TP spokesman that the authority has no "quota system", accepted. But how are the officers perfomance judged considering their job nature is not deskbound? What is included in their yearly appraisal? Is there no mention of how many tickets they've issued?

 

PM Lee during his national day rally hike on remaking Singapore, requesting that we speak up, improve service standards, put things right. My few words here is not meant to put the authority in bad light, but on a rather more positive note, would hopefully bring about healthy review of present system and protocols. I strongly believe Singapore can do better as we speak up. The system works for everybody, including the legistors themselves...

if K2Kiwi is doing at 140km/h and u so called 'helped' him by booking him at 105km/h doesn't that give a conclusion that u can adjust the meter up to your own liking. if not how come u know he's clocking at 140km/h and u showed him the meter at 105km/h.. I've nothing against TP and dun mean to offend anybody but it's an irony that u have to say these kinda of things. Even if u wanna lie at least do it properly...

in situations like that, how are you going to prove that you are really going along the speed limit? they can easily say that you are going at 200 whereas you are just crusing at 90? the best alternative is put those cameras, stationary one. like that no need to argue already. sometimes, i also doubt their creditbility.

The Singapore system is like that. Everything is dominated by money. If the TP's bonus doesn't depend on the number of tickets he issues or the amount of fine revenue he generates, do you think he will even bother to chase you? Hell no!

 

It is the price to pay to live in this Small Red Dot. Remember though, that you are unlucky today. Someone else will be unlucky tomorrow. Eventually everybody is going to pay the same.

 

Sick of the system? You are free to move. The Singapore passport is welcome in many countries and if you can get work permits, PR status is not extremely hard to get.

It's u r the one who's naive... I think u got no guts to admit that your sytem is flawed.. It seems that anybody can just calibrate the speed gun and adjust to the speed that they want. If that's the case, it's injustice. And I guess u really have a lot of free time to hide and shoot people come from behind. By the way this is not street smart, but rather an unprofessional thing to do.
