the honda air filter was the control in the tests run on the honda cb1300s.

i'll translate the top 2 performers of aftermarket air filters:

k&n filter - 5 stars for assembly quality, 4 stars for performance, 5 stars for how fast it clogs up (now tt means it's good for 5 stars coz it doesn't clog up tt fast, i think), 97% filtration efficiency & 9/10 price for quality.

dna filter - 5 stars for assembly quality, 4 stars for performance, 4 stars for how fast it clogs up (clogs up faster than k&n, i assume), 98% filtration efficiency & 8/10 price for quality.

so from these 2 translations can roughly figure out how the rest fared.

someone mind getting the article in english, or translating the whole text? =P

hope my translations are accurate.

peace.

Basically the article is saying "don't waste money. OEM works just fine.".

This is exactly what many overseas forums have been saying (with dyno results), that mods like aftermarket airfilters, velocity stacks, do very little other than put a dent in your wallet.

Past: KDX200, LC4 400, LC4 620, GSXR750WR

Present: CBR900RRY, Gas Gas EC250, XR250L, XR250RV, XR400 (motard-ed), NX650 Dominator

well some of the difference cant be felt but can be seen on dyno graph. but so far my preference are DNA and BMC .... certainly the difference can be felt
