The Best is still under your seat,Why?water can seek through the crevices unless you wanna compromise the unit.anyway if i'm not mistaken forumer razi implant some devices there maybe you can ask him whether can the ballast fit under there and yaa,do supply them the measurements:)

i might have problem with the length of the wires if i were to put it under the seat.

 

esp the connectors are pretty different from those i normally see. maybe i need to go SLT for a walk soon.

thinking of fixing up a HID option for touring. mainly a normal halogen bulb in local roads. then swap over to HID during the touring season.

 

ballast stays on the bike at all times. just that the xenon bulb only fixed on when needed.

can. i used to hide the fat ballast there. but a caution; it might interfere with the immobiliser reading the key during start up if you don't have a switch for the HID.

the philips extreme has been going strong since i bought it in '08. best results for the lights is during dusk or dawn.
