I bought This Bike 2nd Hand... after buying then noticed no belly pan... what a waste...

U do realise that the stock belly pan is just a plastic plate near the cat converter? And not sumthing that covers from the headers.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the advice and I managed to find the idling point.

I tuned to between 1.3 - 1.5. Is that ok?

Will the fuel consumption be higher now as i can hear that the engine is reving quite fast and loud now. (Not sure If i overadjust the idle point). If overadjusted, will it have any negative impact on the bike ?

Anyone encounter this before?

Regards,

Orangdez

Dear OrangeDez,

Yes,You did it a little too high near the point of cold start idle i can say, tune it down a bit around 1.2k and it will be fine.unless you want the bike to move by itself without throttling......pssst yes it will consume high fuell.

Nuthing wrong with running at that idling. Mine is set withing that range as well. Plus i'm riding a 600. Fuel consumption increase is negligible.

Defination of negligible :

  • so small as to be meaningless; insignificant; "the effect was negligible"
  • not worth considering; "he considered the prize too paltry for the lives it must cost"; "piffling efforts"; "a trifling matter"

Plus my bike goes higher when i turn "it" on...

Do you mean the mid pipe is exposed?

What to do some thinks it will consume so much that everytime top up more and more. Stories like if go downhill muz close throttle + clutch in, can save petrol hahaha. How much can 1 save?

Anyway its best to follow the manufacturer's rating. Going under or above is preference.

15 000miles =24 140.16 kilometers

We usually change EO every 5 000km, so with this, 24 140.16 / 5 000 = almost 5 oil change hahha. Can save quite a lot heheh. Which in turn to be used to pay for road tax, insurance, etc hahaha.

ISA web shows S-14 is 14/45.

So if i change to ISA, means my speedo error increase?

Which brand has the stock 14/47 sizing?

ISA has stock sizes. i'm using them as of now..

but next change i would probably try the vortex sprockets.

btw, aftermarket handlebars n heavy balancers do reduce the vibrations. tried cruising at 120kmh yesterday and it was smoother than before..

rien d'autre que le max.

Ya also wanted to try vortex. Dilema with the colours hehhe.

Yups balancers do help. Do take note that too much weight might not be of a help. Slow speed riding might trigger the vibs. Its a pros and cons thing. The resonance is different. Too bad someone have not invent something that can cater to different vibrating speed.

And also the handlebar materials. Like example aluminium cannot have too heavy of a balancer weight. The stress from the weight might cause the aluminium bars to break.

aluminum sprocket dont last as long as steel.

Do they last long as long as the chain?

if not very much wasted on the chain if the aluminum sprocket wear out way faster than chain.

Then get AFAM Steel. Those going for aluminum are for performance and not for lifespan. It is much much lighter thus increase performance.

You may want to, you can convert to 525 chain conversion if you planning your sprockets and chains to last longer. NOTE: There will be added weights.

At present, 400cc is 520 and 600cc is 525.
