Bro, i think u meant Tachometer(RPM)? odometer show total mileage clocked only what. lol.

I concur with Razi, 31,000 is too low to do all that. My bike, FBD plater, 3 yrs old has gone through 80,000km and i have never done any fuel injector cleaner or whatever. All i did was basic servicing for the engine (E.O, Oil filter, spark plugs) and took care of it properly. Only recently at 75,000km did i do valve clearance after much internal debate with myself and research on whether it was absolutely necessary to open up the engine.

Like bro razi mentioned, it could be a one-off thing. It happened to me once 3 weeks back. I pushed the electric start button, could hear the starter motor cranking, but the engine didnt fire up. It was weird, like as if the fuel wasnt delivered to the cylinders. I opened up the throttle slightly and it finally started. Oddly enough, there was no fast idling. Weird.

The next day, when i started her up again, it was back to normal.

Try Pirelli Angel ST? It lasted me 1yr. But duration is not a good guide for longevity. I prefer to use mileage instead. The Angels lasted me bout 25,000kms worth of riding. I rode them down till i could see the wires in the tire carcass and finally decided to replace them.

Good grip on wet weather in my opinion.

Replaced it a week back with Metzeler z8 interact. currently on promotion at Unique Motorsports for $389. I havent really tested its full potential on wet weather, but on dry, by GOD, the tire performs wonderfully well. I would say it makes cornering more effortless compared to the Angels, but its probably because the Angels are so squared off that i forgot how fun it feels like to burn a new set of rubbers.

I read somewhere that Metzeler and Pirelli are infact the same company. Not sure who bought over who. The rubber compounds are reported the same cos they are made from the same place.

Another tire that i wanted to try was the Bridgestone Battlaxe BT023. Heard good reviews on it from my friend who is riding a GSXR-1000. It was actually the top of my list when i wanted to replace my Angels, but Unique did not have it in stock and they recommended me the Z8 instead.

Perhaps u might also wanna try Michelin's latest innovation, the Pilot Road 3? Its selling point is its supposedly excellent wet weather capabilties. I have not personally tried it, so i cant comment much.

So i have narrowed down the list of recommended tires for u, now time to do your own homework and research on its reviews before commiting on one. :p[/quote

thanks alot bro

haha i am using angel st, overall not bad but have fished tailed a few times due to hard breaking, haha but the fish tail was a super stable fish tail, is like drifting like dat the bike never feels liike it is falling or what, the middle thread i think not enough friction. but overall still not bad lah.

By right, 31,000km mileage, is quite low to do all of the above. means there is no need to do it. Unless yours is a 2nd hand and the previous owner did not take care of it well enough. Anyway it could be a one off thing. Just monitor for the time being. For my case, I dun really trust those injector cleaners. Only only 'cleaners' that I use would be like Shell VPower or Caltax Techron (>> The commercial shows tiny people cleaning your engine, so I guess can be trusted). If the odometer on your bike is not so constant, then I guess can go for throttle body sync. This one can DIY, tedious but easy to do hahah.

Anyway a lot of factors for your case to happen. Sometimes it could be because previously the last owner install Scottoiler V system. When the Scottoiler was removed, they did not adjust back the vacuum valve to normal. Or could be there is a leak in the Scottoiler V system. Just guessing la. Dunno your bike so cannot make too much assumption. This one also I ass-u-me only hahahah.

Oh ok guess mileage is too low for the servicing i mention and its a first hand bike which i have service it regular.hahahahaha (>> The commercial shows tiny people cleaning your engine, so I guess can be trusted) how about FP60 its does not helps at all? throttle body sync can be diy?

Any FI flashing light? If FI lights goes on, Dealer Mode will give a code that you can check against the fault list. I would not try to open throttle and start engine. It is a very bad habit. If there are no issues, it should start normally when you press the Start button. It could be a few reasons. Check your idiling, the manufacturer puts it between 1.1 to 1.3, if not wrong. Lower than that may stall the engine. And NO it will not consume a lot of petrol when the idling is set to that. If possible, do a physical check on your plugs. It might tell more about the engine condition. If plugs have not been changed, this maybe a good opportunity to change them.

I do salute your habit of warming up the engine. It is a very good habit.

I do not think it is the battery voltage. If it is, during warming up the alternator will have charge the battery. Anyway for your case, do not risk using a battery more than 2.5 years. If it fails and you are stranded somewhere, the n good luck to you. hahah My advice la....its one of the most important component on the bike. Get it replaced before it retires.

Correct me if I am wrong.... but from what I know.... while idling the rpm do let the alternator charge our bike's battery but the charge is actually much lower than the battery's output as the battery needs to maintain power for the bikes's light and all electrical stuff.... I have been told this by my bike friends, mechanics and even thru some web searching...

while idling... our battery is actually being drain instead... which i have experience it on mycbr150 before... had a change of alternator, battery and all bef... but i had it idling for ard 15min while waiting to pick up a friend and my bike actually couldn't start ltr on.. cos the battery was drained... had to do push starting.....LOL....

check out these site.. some bikers are saying the same...

As we do not have 4 seasons like other country...

(HOT DAYS)

my best bet would be to straight hop on the bike and off I go but go at a moderate speed for a while before going into high gear

(COLD/RAINY DAYS)

give it a 2~3mins warm up.... not too long.....

For FP60, I do experience smoothness when using em. Anyway you need to try to know. I will just stick to FP60 as for my case it works well. Ohhh ya FP60 you need to shake the bottle well before use.

so after you did your valve clearance can u feel the different?? hmm ever since i adjust my idling it does not have fast idling anymore too.

Fast idling is also mechanical. You need to adjust it after awhile. Its located near the idling screw. But not accessable like the idling screw.

Can be yes and no. Depends on what bike you riding. As you can see, on the GSR, the alternator is already working upon idling. If you have a voltmeter, its already recording 14v++ (check at battery not tap from elsewhere). Some bikes like S4 works differently, the charging only starts when the bike is 'moving'. So it depends on bike itself.

This is from my GSR750 during warmup in the morning (No blimp of the throttle or anything). If not wrong I am getting 14.1 to 14.3 on the GSR400.

If you keep on cranking the bike on a single session, yes it will lose A LOT of current. Cranking is the most current sucker ever. I wonder why manufacturers cannot improve on that. hmmmm......Battery is an essential part of the bike. If its almost due, just change it. Anyway this webby is quite useful about motorcycle batteries

http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/maintenance/battery.htm

Glimps from the webby that people should know:-

"... No 12-volt battery will remain at over 14 volts for more than seconds unless it's being charged. The lowest limit is 10.5 volts ... obviously unsatisfactory in practical use."

As we do not have 4 seasons like other country...

For me, no mater hot or cold, I will still warm up the bike to an acceptable temperature. On the GSR400 last time I waited till the tempeature reaches 70 if I am not wrong before moving off. To me, its like a human being. If you dun warm up your body and you run.....you will be hit with more injury....Layman comparison hahah.

Thank you for your valuable advice.

Will take note of this.

Aside from this, would like to ask if anyone has a used set and willing to let go?

Hi still looking for the crashbar. Anyone willing to let go? or knows any bike shop that still sells it?

The only reason why I'm not laughing with you is that I prefer laughing at you.
