anu idea how much a full servicing in sg cost?decarb piston and cylinder,change EO check brakes and tighten clutches?

 

I nv did my servicing in SG b4.....

BTW, my restoration is only 50% done....fine tuning internal stuffs....still gotta do body.....re-paint....how to be ready??

Hi all,

 

As I have posted in VCS....it would be great to have a hang out place for the classicos....just a fix place to chill out for meetups...anyone wanna suggest?

The place probably needs ample parking spaces for all our scoots to be seen when we are chilling out at the cafe....

some places to suggest...

Depends on how "seen" we want to be....

 

Two really cool (albeit ulu) places are the Colbar (portsdown) and the Sunset Bar & Grill (Seleter east camp)

 

There's another nice Pizza place on Greenwood Ave (Bukit Timah)... also a bit quiet... but great pizza and lots of parking....

 

Somewhere a little more visible might be one of the joints at HV (parking on pavement may be possible....)

 

Or... seeing as Arab street is a fave already with the classicos.... why not a uber cool place called SAMAR on the corner of Bhagdhad street.... Lovley coffee and even Shisha :smile:

hey....

gonna get a px 200? from my brother soon..

just wondering,

how often do you guys service your scoot?

even a rough guide would be a great help.

is it true for classic scoots that the clutch cable would often break?

is the scoot 4 stroke or 2 stroke?

any safety/performance mods to be done?

which shops do you guys go often to service/buy mods?

noob to all of this...

any and all help is appreciated

the arab street is a hangout place for the racing scoots with cut out side boxes and frames. always see em there when im having a late night tea session. but great atmosphere though.

another suggestion would be KTM at tanjong pagar. free parking and great tea.

Cephelix...

in breif (research will help make things clearer for you)

 

Service... (all that needs doing regularly eg every 5000km or so) = change engine oil & clutch cable (only breaks often if you don't change it often :smile: ) and de-coke piston and cylinderhead (all can be done by yourself with a bit of mugging up on vespas...) These scooters were designed to be maintained by their owners.

haha, no worries Gweester... my vespa is in the workshop too, undergoing makeover. So i hope i can get back my bike by 15dec... any sooner will be better. Probably won't be able to make it for newbie meet as well.

 

Just saw your signature, it says "1997-Present: Sprint V (restoration in progress)"... don't tell me its been restoring for almost a decade? :cheeky:

 

What colour you going to paint it?
