eh? why do i need to hide my speedometer for?

AGAINST thieft. My last s4 ver1 had my both 'SHOWA' stolen in a night. The other corner somedays later a s4 spec2 had meters, absorbers, and muffler stripped. His friend lost a front right caliper especially 'BREMBO'(Suspect for fitting on waves). So i prefer the meters mount in the fairing with attachments hidden. I believe i'm the first badge switching to 'BOLDER' .

answer to Keiyong;

(Actually, my first accessory in mind is the center stand. Have been looking around for one but so far no luck. Even Boon Siew says it has to be specially ordered.)

i got my main-stand from Looi's motor with istallation at $250./=ORIGINAL

to Yeong59

Thanks a lot for the tip man, about given up already. There's a Looi's at Bedok Industrial Estate so think I'll go check it out tomorrow.

To Khookahkiat,

The S4 is a great bike. I have always liked it for all it's mechanical aspects, but the fairing was the deciding factor for me to go get one. I guess it's a personal taste kind of thing as it is basically a great bike,

Don't forget you are among Bol'Dor riders so we are naturally biased to the cowling.Apart from adding to the looks, I find it is also convenient cos can keep handphone, wallets an other small items in the two compartments built into the fairing. My road tax disc is still in the locked compartment.

Thanks Keiyong, unfortunately I'm still undecided on what to buy... hahahaha... :cheeky:

That leaves me with only one option: go to bike shop and toss a coin... ... :giddy:

Come with three free servicings ,free oil change & labour.

if chose better engine oil top-up price in diference.

(normal oil price vs your choice)

First service at appr 800km

Second appr 2000km

Third appr 3000km

Oil filter have to pay $20. on First oil change and third. After that your bike is waranty for six months.

I used mineral oil base(normal) through servicing period for 5000km running-in,after that i use MOBIL 1 5W-5OW SAE FULLY SYN. with every 10,000km interval.

When new, piston wall need mineral to strengthened during run-in. I mean new pistons and cylinder walls are soft to rub against, may go out shape causing piston jam.I heard Looi's bike (bigger cc) does not have limit cut. I top 190km at 11000++rpm can go further but meter no more.......

Dear fellow bol'dor riders, today I went Looi's to look for answers... but what I got instead was more question marks....

Apparently, there is a new model from Suzuki coming up. The first time in many years they launched a new 400cc model since the bandit. So I asked for the brochure to take a look at what it is all about because they were raving about how it is better than Spec III in most aspects, from fuel consumption to looks.

True enough, the bike was a stunner alrite. To me, I feel this new 400cc Suzuki naked bike can give honda's spec III a run for its money. But then, very subjective lah looks this kinda thing actually.

So now, I am tempted by a third and VERY attractive option. But the bike will cost more at around $13k plus OTR (estimate) and it won't arrive on singapore shores until about end April.

Enough of words, pictures shall do the talking for you guys...

new model is stunning, after sometime..... but remember HONDA engines are well known. SUZUKI 's and YAMAHA's do not sound so smooth....rather noisy. others i do not comment further. choice is yours.

hmm? what's EFI?

EFI- Electronic Fuel Injection. Nice to have, more precise fuel feed therefore better response and fuel efficiency - however a nightmare to maintain when it's older.

Nice looking bike if you like such bikes...looks a little like the Yamaha MT-01 to me. The gear indicator is a nice feature - was wondering why Honda did not incorporate it as I was riding just now...always lose count of gears la.

Yeong59 is right, the Honda engine is truly a joy, smooth and durable. Vtec is great and the carbs make a sound which is music. I think Bolder is beautiful still.

Good luck on your decision...now you need 3 face coin.:giddy:

For Yeong59

Went to Looi's at Bedok Industrial and it was closed, not sure if it's permanent or just CNY. Where exactly is their Kaki Bukit showroom? Hey, great looking bike you got.

Actually hor... with all due respect, the people at Looi's said this new bike GSR400 will kick Honda's super4 arse anytime... :giddy: So... there you go...

Keiyong: I went Looi's yesterday leh, and it was open. Btw, when did you go one? FYI, their showroom is on the 2nd floor, just need to take the lift only...

Actually hor, people can say many many things but true or not we don't know. I look through the specifications and there was hardly any, would be nice to know what is it's weight and engine rating like then can agak whether or not I am going to get my arse kicked.

In the absense of such specs very hard to say lah, but I am sure it'll be a tough fight Also noticed it's classified only as exhibition model and not production model yet.

Did you also go to Looi's at Bedok Industrial? I have been there many times but never noticed there was a showroom upstairs. Was there yesterday evening and the workshop was closed. Thought I read someone say they at Kaki Bukit, went round there this afternoon but cannot find.

the suzuki bike looks really stunning alrite but i would still go for honda cos of engine anytime. perhaps it's pure coincidence but friends and my hubby had problems w their suzuki bikes here and there so am kinda biased in my opinion as well.

khookahkiat : perhaps u may like to do a bit more research b4 u finally decide. at the end of the day, u hv to be happy w wat u buy
