Was reading a thread on how super 4 parts are so easily being stolen recently. Wonder if the bol'dor is just as vulnerable as well? Any feedback from current owners of the bol'dor?

It is a super four, no difference except the fairing. I read a newspaper report dated 2004 where 3 thieves were caught stealing super four parts. They can remove a pair of gantung in 15 minutes. The target is your gantungs and front brake calipers. It is not that they are easier to steal then other bikes, but because they are showas and nissins, and can be used on other smaller bikes.

I try not to simply park my bike cos constantly worried when left alone, too much incidents. Was told that even with suspension guards, the thieves can force the seat open and easily remove the guards. Am thinking of engraving the suspensions, anyone done that or know where that can be done. At least it will deter them from your bike as it can be easily traced if found on another bike.

Yes, so far the only other Bol Dor I have seen outside is one parked in Bedok Industrial estate

Kenz

if I am not wrong the retro blue is the 2006 version which won't be in Sin till middle of this year according to boon Siew. You probably can get it from parallel imports.

Ya lor, so far the only other Bol Dor I have seen outside is one parked in Bedok Industrial estate.

yeah tat's only a deterant and if thieves can steal a whole bike, am sure they will have ways to dislodge other parts as well. it's so infuriating. i think the most secure way is to weld the suspension but it's going to be really troublesome if u want to rebuild ur suspension later.

my hse mcsp is usually full of bikes by the time i come home and i only park at the 1st lvl cos there's more traffic but still things can still go missing.

I have seen 1 bol dor at my office here b4, along the road a silver one, at a traffic light a black one and the more frequent one is at geylang near my friend's duck rice stall.

Hence there must be quite a few but dun believe they r forumers here cos the ones i came across were mostly lau cheks.
