Hi, would like to check with the experts here. I took over a bike which the previous owner had registered the exhaust to his licence plate. the previous owner sold off the bike to bike shop and the previous owner retain the licence plate and the bike shop register a new licence plate to the current bike that I own. What do I need to do?? (what I have done is: I went down to the shop that the exhaust that was being purchase from and register under my name. Do I need to go LTA to register that the exhaust pipe is under a new licence plate??) Btw, yearly inspection pass already..

that depends if your headers are street legal or not. high chances that the headers are street legal, so no point going for inspections.

which brand is the pipe? go to the dealer for the pipe for name transfer. no need for re-inspection on the pipe.

inspection cert supposed to have only bike number on it. in any case, you still have to do a name transfer.

more info, you can go and check with the dealers.

Hi Guys,

i have some enquires, just took over a bike with arrow exhaust, it's legal with cert.

The approved exhaust bears the ex-owner name.

1. Do i need to change to my name? if yes, what's the procedure?

2. If i changed the arrow exhaust to the original stock exhaust,

do i need to go for an inspection?

For Termignoni slip-ons for a Ducati - If the exhaust comes with a pre-approved cert from EU Certified Street Legal - will I be able get it to pass inspection?

No, unless Racewerks or Minerva have it legalised with LTA.
