Hi, i'm in a dilemma in choosing either Spec 3 or Revo to buy. Heard that Spec 3 is very hot now, it has 2 stage to the vtec, carb engine which can be tuned, good fuel consumption and etc... Can i ask whether Revo have 2 stage vtec? How is the fuel consumption on average? How is the fuel injection engine, any problem faced so far? Went to the bike shop, the people there say second hand spec 3 sold out very fast once they arrive. Dont know whether to look for Spec 3 or Revo now... Advised needed.

Oh ya! have anyone heard of recon bike? The bike is said to be imported from japan. Basically it is a used bike in japan and the mileage is only abt 5000km or 10000km at most and brought over to Singapore to sell them. It's as good as new for the condition wise.

Would like to ask, will there be any problem with the bike for example, the bike is crushed and it is a rebuild bike or, could it be the case the bike engine is damage and it is a reconstruct one.

wat u mean by 2 stage vtec? I nv hear of it, care to share wif us? btw i rode spec I-III to Revo.

FC depends on various factors, sprocket sizing, tuning, weight of load, riding condition and technique etc

So far Revo has no problems but needa maintain those basic servicing and wear & tear parts, tires, chain/sproc etc

Spec 3 wat i feel tat it has been marked up due to the price increase of Revo, better parts/quality, higher workmanship/production prices of Revo.

Do your calculations and see which one is worth it to buy, its personal preference.

i heard that the Spec 3 will open its Vtec 2 times. Dont really know whether it is true or not.

Anyway, thanks for the advise! Cheers!

Sorry to hurt you but, I seriously think such tech is not available on spec 3. It will open vtec only after 6000 plus rpm. 6.700 rpm iirc...

So called "open twice". The Vtec for Spec 3 and Revo have 2 different timings. 1st - 5th gear opens at around ~6500rpm. 6th gear opens at ~6750rpm.

other than that for the REVO 6th gear, if slowly accelerate throtle evenly ur reach 8K-9K rpm at 130-140km/h, vtec also will not activate.

Really? Then should use 5th gear to drag?

I tried what you said for the past 2 days... not working for me... no matter how slowly I accelerated, once hit 6500 the vtec activated and the engine sound diff...

HAHA bro u too fierce rider liao la , i tried before, really works.... the trick is to maintain ur trottle and let the rpm slowly increase, but seriously dunno why as vtec should open, once u pass the timing stage at 6th gear (~6750) , u whack throttle vtect also nv open lol

You can ask the bike shop to include the crash bars as a package.

Free brand new raincoat or open face helmet if buying new bikes. i rather take the raincoat and buy a better helmet to use.

Anyone can enlighten me? Many thanks. :)

Pls be patient, we not online 24/7.

While running in the bike, rpm didn't go beyond 5k fro 500km. I changed to semi-syth EO and didn't go beyond 7k rpm for another 700km. I am on fully syth now.
