It is actually my dad's. I am riding a phantom. Having said that... Revo is also very comfortable. And i am still trying to get used to the "new" riding position.

hi just want to share my view. revo is using EFI, therfore there are numbers of sensor and ECU read all the sensors to control the system. i think is too fast to conclude that ECU is the

problem, maybe is one of the sensor that feed the signal to the ECU having problem. Ask someone you can trust to check for u. I do believe ECU dont fail so easily. good luck. pls share once your problem is solved.

Updating my REVO status, just now morning Mr Toh from Boon Siew called me. Mechanic hv already checked and identify my bike problem and they say that its the "throttle body". Cost me abt $1k+. Bike will be ready by Thursday.

Thanks, for the update. Did they say what's wrong with the throttle body? Can't repair and need to change the whole assembly?

Mine is 2 1/2 yr old. Yes Boon Siew is very pricey, but I feel safe to service there only when involve major engine parts malfunction. They also provide 3 mth warranty for the repaired parts. Other than that, normal servicing I will be at UniqueMotorSports Kaki Bukit AutoBay!

Ouch... :)

So did they say what's wrong with the throttle body? They probably won't say that it can be repaired. Otherwise they can't justify to you why need to change...

True. I spent quite a bit replacing my pulse generator at Boon Siew also. My personal opinion is that if the staff are a bit more friendly and bother to explain what actually went wrong with the component, it will help everybody. :cheeky:

I also want to know what might have caused a revo's throttle body to "spoil" As its still quite a new bike.

They told me things get wear and tear, and do avoid washing bike using jet spray directly to the engine area. I told them I don't do spraying directly to the engine area. Then they say might be the rain? So far my bike is not the first revo to replace the "throttle body".

My instinct tells me how can a throttle body gets spoiled by water intrusion? And even if so, wouldn't a thorough cleaning resolves the problem? A 2-year old bike having wear and tear on the throttle body to the extent of beyond repair sounds very unconvincing.

I myself not so sure abt this, I only know how to ride and whack the throttle hard. For now the throttle body is with me, can someone teach me how to post the picture over here. For the benefit of all revorian to see.

I second that. Maybe its just dirty or some minor component needs to be replaced, But Boon Siew does not do such things so they replaced them :dot:
