Hihi.. have been busy with work... just started working and got no time for anything else.. wonder if its worth it sometimes..

anyway a friend of mine recommend me some fuel injection cleaner called "blue coral". he say very effectives.. just pour in, mix well and wack ur bike.. according to him he say will see black smoke come out. after that will be very smooth.. dunno how true also la.

the bike stall maybe injector dirty or air filter lor.

filter must be changed every 15k according to manual.

ps: any know where i can get original plugs for wave? need to find the correct heat ratings cause everytime motortiam always put the heat rating of 8.

U referring to the 'G' Power plug?

Anw i tot any shop sell the std plug? But since the 'G' Power cost $7, std cost $5 might as well use G poewer

really ah? but when u startup from cold engine does the bike jerk and engine stall? damn the wave-i got no choke, usu if i start from cold engine i got to let it run idle 4-5min to wave it up sufficiently otherwise it will be jerking like mad and sometimes after come to a stop the engine stall. with v-power i only need to warm up 1-2min. surprising.

silversurfer, manual recommends two types of spark plugs, NGK CPR6EA-9 and Denso CR8E. wave can use plugs on NGK's heat rating of 6 or 7. 8 is alittle too cold, imo. air filter must change?? oh no, mine ald 30000km liao still havent change. haha. u want the plugs? i can help u get from JB on my next trip in.

i'm on NGK CPR6EA-9, one pcs only RM12, cheap cheap. :cheeky:

Wave-i does not have a choke because it itself have an auto-choke. all FI dont have a manual choke. U should thank god it starts easily in cold can liao lol.

I saw Thai_R post on him selling a package of plugs (NGK CPR6EA-9) + air filter for only $14. i have msg him and waiting for his reply. if he never reply then i msg u k. maybe u can get from him also..

is it? then maybe my autochoke is not working well... or is it supposed to be like that? do u need the air filter? if not then sell me lah... i think i really need to change air filter... i did almost 20000km in seven months, need to change liao i guess...

20000km !?! wave airfilter need to replace every 10000km. urs must b very dirty liao i guess. mine did 5000km n i can feel airflow not smooth liao, idling speed very rough. mayb the recent haze shortened air filter life.

u need to remove either left or right side fairing to reach airfilter. i prefer to remove left side cos 3 out of the 5 screws on the airbox r located near to the left. but if u wanna change sparkplug at the same time then remove the right... makes work easier

thanks... i think i will get my air filter changed this weekend at JB... 30500km already and this air filter is the one that came with the bike. btw, have any of u done full service of the wave-i at all? will the servicing affect the FI? just wondering if it is a good idea to bring the bike for full service at JB... they won't be manhandling the CDI and injectors i suppose???

won't they have to clean the injectors as well? although i kinda trust the mechs at JB with servicing, but i can't fully place my faith that the cdi, ecu and injectors will remain virgin after the servicing... have u ever done servicing before? wat are your comments?

i got my air filter and spark plug changed ytd! RM35 only... about the same price i guess. the old filter wasn't THAT dirty, but hell, the whole bike seems much smoother with a new plug and new air filter... cruising is sooooo smooth!
