2. Is this a Maintenance Free (MF) type battery?

a. Yes, it is MF type.

 

b. However, this battery provides an option for those users like to prolong their battery life span. You could open the lid cover and add in battery water or battery acid (approx. 10ml) to each slot, every 8-12 months. This is to ensure the gel is in tip top condition and continue to provide its best performance.

 

 

 

5. Why some newly installed battery malfunction after few days/weeks?

There are 4 major possible causes:

 

i. The battery itself defective once out from manufacturing. However, the quality is well maintained above 99.95%. It means approx. 5 pcs. or less battery will be faulty out of 1000 pcs. produced.

 

 

 

ii. There is a minor physical shock due to handling process when load/unload from the track/lorry during transportation. It causes the battery positive plate and negative plate disconnect; and the battery cannot be re-charged during motorcycle is running.

 

 

 

iii. The motorcycle user driving habits also play an important role on the battery life span. For instance:

 

The brake pedal is always been pressed and the brake light is always being activated.

User only use the motorcycle in very short distance daily (example less than 5 minutes/drive). Where the battery is not fully re-charged in such short period of time.

 

 

iv. The motorcycle charging system may have some problems. Such as:

 

The rectifier or coil is not working well or consistently.

The quality of the rectifier is an important part to ensure the battery is lasting. It should able not to over-charged the battery.

If your bike and yourself satisfies the above 7 criterias then your can corner at high speed.

 

The most No.1 important is TYRE

 

Do not have GIVI / Kappa boz at rear.

 

Spookey or sport rim doesn't matter.

Spookey is lighter then sport rim but it still depends on material and manufacturer , sometimes sport rim lighter then spookey.

 

Try to read more on Michelin Pilot Sporty and the design or other tyre brand design on which is best for cornering. Then you will know the right tyre to choose.

 

You can fix front and rear bigger RIM but what is the point when the TYRE IS more important. Stick with the current RIm and use low profile and racing type tyres.

Buy new parts

For right side knocking , I think it is the clutch plate housing.

Refer to my previous this forum pages.

You see hundred pictures of parts, prices and also the overhaul I did.

It consist of the housing I replaced /changed perhaps 2 yrs ago

Finally my bike got towed yesterday to my home from PIE for SGD $35 bike BikeBulance. Very good & fast service. My Spark Z engine died.. can't start. Have to wait til bike shop open after CNY.

Oh btw gunshead, r u stil using the Osram head lights for RM8? The shop still selling? I want to try those.

Don't use halogen bulbs. Halogen buls gives high heat and destroys the bulb foot solder and bulb socket.

Halogen bulb last exact one year

after using for two years of halagen

i now using original stanley normal bulb

 

also halagen bulb of white color or blue is dangerous in mist or rain. U cannot see anything on road. U need yellow bulb.

 

It does not matter what brand of halaogen. As long as halogen - AVOID

 

i think i have sent u two mails two days ago.

 

my bike now need tappet clearance and battery recharge. I waiting for skudai shop to open after CNY

Meter - 14,184km (+100000km)

 

Repaired Spark Z 110 in SG for $300. I felt i got conned/cheated. The only damaged part he gave me was the broken camshaft. All the other items in the list are in Chinese & almost nobody can make out what he wrote! And now the electric starter is making a very loud weird noise eveytime I start the bike. It never happen before, & this is ridculous.

 

1/2/2012, Wed.

 

Meter 14248km.

 

Went to JB, 1st to Seng Fong Motor at Jln Larkin. After much searching, unable to find the shop.

 

Then next off to Jln Kangkar Kecil at Kangkar Tebrau to look for Xing Motor Service. After quite a distance of riding, found the shop. What a big place with tons of spare parts and accessories. This place have all kind of stuffs u can imagine, from exhaust pipes to LEDs to carburetors to engine blocks etc etc!

Bought a set of 15T/35T SSS chain sprocket set for RM30 from here.

 

Next off to Taman Ungku Tun Aminah to locate the shop, Pusat Perkhidmatan Motor Wahin. Found it at Jln Perwira 1, easy to find just beside the main road. Also got quite a no of spare parts, so I bought a NGK C7HSA spark plug at RM5 & a 15T/36T SSS chain/sprocket set for RM38.

 

Next off to Seng Hoe Motor Enterprise at Jln barau 2 in Skudai. Another easy shop to locate but from where I was coming from, I had to go quite far to U-turn to reach the shop. Here the mechanics are dressed in Yamaha uniform & they provide good service.

 

Changed 2x front Stanley light bulbs for RM 4.50 each.

Changed front disc brake lining for RM 18.

 

But my bike stil got clutch problem where the auto clutch doesn't disconnect easily resulting in engine stalling while slowing down before stopping. The mech said it might be the clutch plate or most probably the auto clutch bearing but he needs time to open up to check. So I will come another day for servicing.

 

It was a tiring day travelling in JB but it was a good experience. In the end, topped-up RON 95 at BHP full tank and came back to SG.

Previously used KOYO Japan bearing ( two side covered bearing ) - lasted for > 3 yrs or more.

 

My advise do not use single side covered bearing. WIll not last long. I wonder what happen to NTN full covered bearing - unavailable.

see beside vanavil one shop bike . that is seng fong boring motor. U look for one chinese guy short and slim. He is expert and specialist. He off on thursday. he work on sunday too

Replaced new plastic chain guard as the old metal 1 is broken.
