nice hk pics you have there iceZ.. i went there earlier this year as well.. but didnt go to the peak and madame tussauds..

 

which hotel you stayed in? free and easy holiday?

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Not sure if this has been posted before. Got the following through a fwd email. I guess it'll be most applicable to those who has larger tank.

 

Tips on refuelling your vehicles;

 

1. Only buy or fill up in early morning wil ground temperature is still low. Fuel gets denser in low temp. If it is afternoon, one litre may not be exact a litre.

 

2. When filling up, do not squeeze the trigger to a fast mode. Squeeze it slightly to a low speed to minize vapors (bubbling which you may see).

 

3. Fill the tank half-full to minimize evaporation.

Yes, I have seen this posted somewhere before. It is quite true, however the quantity of petrol loss due to vapour or higher temperature is minimal... maybe around 1 %... nowadays petrol so cheap, don't care lah, just pump as you will...

 

In those times of high petrol prices of above $2 SGD per litre, it will be a different story...

Yup, its an free n easy trip for us...

 

Day 1 (14/2)

We reach at macau,taking bus to ferry across hk

tat nite we reach hk island, trouble on findin a inn/motel.

finally we found 1...damn lousy motel.they charge us hk500...i was like wtf! so ex! they tell me due to valentine's day...lan lan...so we juz put our laggage n walk ard tat nite.

 

Day 2

We leave frm hk island n set to hk, walk ard wif back pack

We bought a 1day tourist ticket frm MTR (MRT) HK55

it really a worth

We went to wong tai sing,Che kung temple,kowloon (like orchard paragon), den mongkok. Finally reach mongkok n decide to settle down for couple of days...went to tis motel..but there r too many prositute there..we decide to find a hotel...finally, we stay 4day at Acesite hotel (3star) HK500perday.really convienent as it juz 5min walk to MTR and 2min walk to Ladies market.

at nite, we hang ard there and went to some bike shops at nearby.

 

Day 3

We set to peak garden at hk island by MTR..

went to the wax house wif all super stars statue.walk ard the street.

 

Day 4

We went to polin temple at lantau island by 40min cable car,disney land n back to hotel and chill ard the street

 

Day 5

We went to the florist garden,bird street,4 of their greatest museum...the science center...evenin at yau ma tei where u can see the amazing view at nite..and all the superstars hand frame on the ground.

 

Day 6

We set back to macau, went to all their 15 popular place...canons castle,church temple etc... nite...casino...lose sg$30 for 4hr on jackpot..lolx.

 

Day 7

We head back to airport. :)

 

There r many more things n incident i nv mention..will share/intro wif u guys in future. :)

yes bro, its a very tiring trip for us..we woke up at 7am+ and sleep at 12am...shop,walk,eat,shop walk n eat...but its really a wonderful trip..

hope i can go again wif u guys... :) mayb nxt yr?

Bro, you flight itinerary is similar to what Arch has except for the accommodation part. Anyway - HK Island's accommodation is slightly more expensive than in TST. I ever rented a motel room at TST for HK300 during festive season. Also near MTR and shopping.

 

Wah - 7 days in HK/Macau and been to so many places... :thumb: ... one thing you did not mention... SHOPPING????

theres nthing much to say bout shopping...all the same...think 90% of the gold shop is chow sheng sheng... :)

 

but really lots pf ppl carry fake gucci,coach n LV...its like everywhere u can see one.

 

Ya..there r certain items is more ex in hk island...but HK$500 for a facilities poor den hotel81...black shop leh..guess wat? normal day only is only HK$120.

I guess if its a norm to carry fake branded goods over there, they would think its not worth the $$ to carry the real stuff anyway.. Heh ..
