Hi Guys,

Need your advice on this situation. Imagine full open throttle is 100%.

When slowly open throttle (till 25%) from 0 to 55km/h no problem, very smooth pick-up. When reaching 60km/h the bike seem like not advancing smoothly and does not cruise smoothly at 60km/h (open throttle remain at 35%), if I open throttle more (45%) then it advance faster but not cruising at 60km/h.

When traveling at 80km/h (throttle at 50%), I release throttle a bit (-5% speed at 75km/h) then to pick-up again I need to open more throttle (70%). if not the bike will like pull back.

It is normal for scooter?

d) It is normal for scooter?

a) Ok.

b) Need to be more season to be smooth... Meaning your bike is still new. what is your mileage now?

c) Normal. That is because u r climbing uphill. Even if normal road, I open full throttle, Max Speed is 118KM/H and only downhill then can hit 120KM/H. I always on First Lane cause No Car. But the car behind you coming fast must give way.

I read some posts about reboring engine block here. Can you do this for any bike? This can be done in Singapore? If you rebore for Nouvo, what displacement can you achieve. How about the piston? Is there a bigger version of the Nouvo that you can get a piston from? Sorry, if these are silly questions. i don't know very little compared to what is being discussed here.

reboring can be done to almost all bike. I dunno where u can get it done in singapore, for ur info only, in kl we usually send them to foundry shop and cost almost rm30 only. Make sure piston size 1st b4 rebore.

It is always better to get performance parts then modified stock parts. Get a racing purpose block n piston dude! You'll be amaze! Hahaha

need a good mechanic though

This is Normal. You wait till your 4000km then u can speed up. Crusing at 60km/h is not possible. 70km and 80km maybe. But becoz this is a new bike so you need more times.

I don't think many riders will kick-start when there's an electric starter for Nouvo. That's why no people has the experience with the kick starter :)

But I see that you have experience with kick starter bikes, so should not be a skills problem. BTW, you tried to kick-start while sitting on the bike or at the side of the bike?

Can be done. Not easy. Need more practise. U tried kick starting a 2-stroke runner before?

Dun kick too hard. U will spoil the kick starter gears.

Yes, the E-starter has life span. But dun worry. It doesn't spoils easily.

But Nouvo is 4-stroke. So why need to compare with kick-start with 2-stroker?

Posted

Herm, i dunno! Well kick start once in awhile is good to make sure that component is working. We can not push then engage gear to start an auto bike!

A 2-stroke runner also has a left-side kick starter. Since he is also riding a runner but 4-stroke, just wondering whether he tried kick-starting a 2-stroke one before. Cos the 2-stroke runner is also not easy to kick start.

Auto choke.

When kick starting, add a little throttle. But u need to turn at the right time as u kick-start. can't turn too much though. Turn too much will flood your carb thus wetting your plugs. Hard to explain. U need to practise more to catch it.

Can you feel the difference in power b/w a NouvoS, Nouvo MX 115 and an Elegance 135? Is it very noticeable? Would really like to know from those who have tried.

What is different between S and MX?

I'm looking for a pre-loved Nouvo. Hopefully Elegance. Anyone know what is the oldest I can get? And what it will cost?
