Hi, I just changed my Engine Oil to Motul 300V 5W40 and Motul gear oil 75W-90

But the thing is that I will be changing my V-belt when it reaches 12000km. However, I just changed my engine oil at 9791km... So do i still need to change my engine oil? Previously I change at 7000km, I used SPC Engine Oil and my friend told me that it is not good. Therefore, yesterday I went to Tune In Motor.com and change my EO to Motul 300V 5W40. I think that guy is tommy, the boss who told me that I did not change my EO for a long time. Based on the instruction manual, I am only require to change every 4000km but now only 2000km and it seems quite bad already.... Why is it so??

As for the Transmission Oil, the boss recommend me to buy 1L of Motul gear oil 75W-90. I stilll have the balance of 800ml. He asked me to bring it over and he will changed for me the next time. Is HL able to change for me if I bring it over??

wah, this is considered one of the smoothest EO at $30 per litre! But it's known to deteriorate quite fast after 3000km.

Try to time your maintenance together. imo, 12000km is still early for belt change. EO depends on environment conditions (dusty?) and especially Nouvo does not have a EO filter.

Change GO is quite simple one. Just bring during your regular service and ask them lor. imo, since it's only 200ml, can change everytime together with EO change.

for the drive belt, yamaha ask to change at 24k km. Drive belt only without labour charge is sgd25 for the ori one. In malaysia market there are 2type of ori belt, yamaha oem drive belt is made in indon while drive belt in thai language is also ori but workshop maybe smuggle it to gain more profit.

 

For EO interval, i changed every month or 2k km, whicever comes 1st. I did follow the manual at first but after 3k km, EO level drop and i need to topup about 100ml.

 

From my experience, good EO gives better mileage and a healthy engine.

For GO, i change every 3times changing EO, eventho the GO are stil looks good

Can you feel the difference in power b/w a NouvoS, Nouvo MX 115 and an Elegance 135? Is it very noticeable? Would really like to know from those who have tried.

 

What is different between S and MX?

 

I'm looking for a pre-loved Nouvo. Hopefully Elegance. Anyone know what is the oldest I can get? And what it will cost?

Hi guys, My battery died on me at 9860++ km. Is it normal? I have to push my bike all the way to change my battery....

Ya. Today was so unlucky that my battery couldn't get the bike started. Then I called TUNE IN and I was at Yishun Safra. They told me they need 1 HRS to lorry back my bike to their workshop... I push my bike and saw that SPC got motor tiam, then changed the battery there and I am done. I called TUNE IN that I dun need their lorry anymore. From Yishun Ave 7 to Yishun Safra take 1 hrs.... ? Thanks for their service...

No le. Ok. When I push start, it gives me a zzzzz sound. And the meters seems to be stuck at halfway. Even the IU also got error display on the LCD.

I normally use the electric starter. Does it matter?

maybe you pressed the starter a little bit too long. do you mod any of the electronics? battery usually can last about 2 years. mine was 1 year @ 12k km and going strong.

My kickstart dun even work when the battery is flat... My friend who rides scramble help me to kick start and cant get it up.

Nothing was mod. It was the original battery when i first bought.

You know HL tell me that I can only collect my bike after CNY..... I was so Pissed. A small matter and yet told me that to wait so long. Plus the lorry will only come a few days later... That's y I push from Yishun Safra to SPC and it took me less than an hour. Just get the mechanic to check and replace new battery. Everything is up and running. So I am quite pissed with HL services... I called their number that is pasted on my bike... But no one picks up.. I call Ban hon then they give me another number.
