Safety First - I've been through enough accidents liao.

Not enough $$ for armoured jacket and pants. ($1k+ for decent set)

Retail @ $200

After bargaining, $170 Cash.

Pros:

- Very Chioooooooooooooooooo....

- Water-proof

- Extremely comfortable (for riding and walking)

- More than enough protection for wave riding (Stiff Heel guard and ankle protection plates)

Cons:

- Hot when riding in the day due to it's waterproofness.

Can but unsafe unless u change the outer rim to 17x1.85

Anyway, I still prefer sport rims and tubeless, unless I am riding a RXK. :cheeky:

I don't have any accident . So NCD10% . Really curious what had happen to make the premium to be almost on par with fairing bike.

Erm..you backside itchy ah? If there is no oil leak at all... you should never go open your forks! Only through long-term usage will the oil seals corrode and give way... causing oil leak and lost of compression. If no leak, swee swee... you want to open... good bike shop confirm scold you... bad bike shop confirm ask you to change whole fork!

ya very true!!! just like doing top servicing! like those top service that "bad" bike shops like unique motors.. they will say do liao very good... BUT in fact they will f up ur bike and dont be responsible for it.

wan do just overhaul full when it needs to overhual engine... dun itchy backside open up engine clean the piston or wad ****... just change the damm thing if it needs to be changed...

just like the fork oil thingy.. no leak better dun touch... altough i guess any manual will say change every 2yrs... but seriously just change the whole fork if u feel it is spoiled or not performing well as wad a stock fork should do...

not many good bike shops in singapore which will advise ppl not to change things... only hell lot of bad bike shops which will advise ppl to change this and that until your bike is totally messed...

Pls dun give bad advice here.

Oil have life span outside (or inside) the bottle.

Even though it doesn't burn like those in the engine, u still need to change and service ur fork oil.

If u wait until the seal corrode and give way, u may end up getting scratches on the fork tubes which in turn will damage ur new fork seals when u change them next time.

This is like saying wait until piston jam before u overhaul or wait until the brake pads completely wear off before changing.

Dun believe me, go and ask suspension specialists like Teck Thye or Bike Lab or Mah Motors (Ohlins). Or go and read up on the internet.

And pls dun say, only Wave is kup chai no need to service the fork seals.

how much does a new fork cost compare to changing the oil alone?

not that i backside itchy, just that my fork doesnt seems to respond so well recently...and the part it doesnt leaks at all after 2 years of usage makes me wonder whether is there any oil in it initially...hehe..

Singapore has one of the smoothest roads in the world. I believe the fork oils can last longer here. I am not trying to give bad advise. If there is no visible leak, the oil inside will still be nice and shiny. Corrosion does not happen in a single day. Any owner who washes their bike at least once a month can find if it is leaking. And who tell you to change the brake pads only when they are gone? The rider can tell if braking ability decrease on his / her own bike to decide if the pads need to change or not right?

And if you ride within your own bike's limit with regular servicing, who will ride until piston jam? Lastly, I didn't say Waves no need to service fork at all leh.. You ride Wave thinking it is a sports bike ah? Then you need to change many things very soon. If you ride a Wave like a transport bike, it will take care of you from here till Thailand and back no problem. It is always the rider, not the bike.

Be contented and you have the world... be greedy and you'll never be happy.
