With Yoshi full system on a brand new Revo, it is impossbile to get that price at 17K.

A brand new Revo with orginal specs is around 17.6K (exclude insurance). Try getting it at excelcycle. If i am not mistaken, interest rate is 3.8% p/a. I getting one at the end of july when i pass my 2A.

Anyway, a full system of Yoshi is around 2k to 2.3K. Do you calculation ba...

Previous Drive : Hyundai H100, Subaru 1.6TS, Chery T11 1.6M

Current Drive : 2012 Kia Soul 1.6A

Current Ride : 2016 BMW GS 1200 Adventure

17.6K, and excluding insurance?

That exp for a 400cc machine. Probably the COE also jacked up the prices by a big margin.

Anyway, if anyone is buying REVO, it's a wise choice to buy the one with ABS.

The price is a bit ridiculous. A Yamaha 600cc bike, duno XJ something cost less than the revo. Anyway, most revo on the market is with ABS.

Maybe i should consider a second hand 2A bike..before upgrading to class 2

With abs, during emergency brake, you press hard on both brakes and SQUEEZE the clutch lever? (according to the video)

I am not a pro.....need to seek some clarification on this....anyone?

In a panic situation, most riders would just squeeze either the brakes or both the levers.

Some of you, please dont give me the BS on how experience will prevent this from happening in the 1st place, how experience and situation awareness will prevent accidents.

Yours truly and many others have our asses saved by ABS, and I can tell you straight in the face that while we are not old timers with beard, we are not newbies either.

Case in point, 1 rainy day. I was riding my bike along the highway, then this lorry from the other lane swerve into mine w/o any warning. (He's trying to avoid a pileup in front of him).

I grabbed my brakes instinctively (the so-called years of riding experience/ e brake thrown right out of the window.) All i know is that the next few moments is the brake lever juddering as the ABS kicks in and prevented me and my bike from skidding/sliding right into the lorry.

Without the ABS, I probably wont be typing here already.

So, those of you guys, if you think you dun need ABS, with all due respects, ride safe and I wish you well as a fellow rider.

But if you have not ridden a ABS equipped bike before and never got into bad situations with a ABS, I suggest you dont go telling other riders that ABS is redundant.

Dont talk when you dont the experience to back it up. (I mean this in the nicest way)

Have a fun/ safe ride!

Cheers.

what's the different between w ABS and without ABS?

In terms of safety, you will want ABS. Trust me.

In terms of cost, an ABS bike will cot a few hundred more than a non-ABS model.

But let me tell you bro, that few hundred will potentially save you from thousands in terms of repair, or will be the difference between life and death.

In situations where you grabbed the brakes, the calipers will grab the brake discs and cause the wheels to lock up and the bike will skid. What happens next is just fate and luck.

With ABS, the bike's sensors on the brake disc/ wheels will check if the bike speed and wheel speed matches. If it senses that the wheels are locking, the ABS system will release the brakes then engage the brakes again to prevent the lock up.

Simple technology, used for decades.

Now only available more commonly on bikes.

And I dont see the reason why we should not have ABS.

Cheers.

btw one thing to take note, those bikes wif ABS cannot change to steel braided brake hose, even it's available for ABS bikes, it costs alot to calibrate the ABS.

Personal preference on ABS or Non-ABS bikes :)

out of curiosity, are there any on 2nd hand ones on the market with ABS and if buy new, with ABS would be how much?

prices of 2nd hand bikes varies and depends on accessories included, condition of bike and date of registration.

ABS needs calibration every tyre change or whenever wheels are removed.

I heard that only Boon Siew do ABS calibration on REVO, is that true?

if its true kind of troublesome, guess not all regular shop able to perform such work.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine
