Just now at the bikeshop, i found a solution to my 135 brake problem .

Since there are no aftermarket brake pads for 135, i was looking for a suitable 2 pot caliper .

So just now trying one by one, spark 110, wave 125, spark Z ......

Then we found our solution, the wave 125 caliper can mod to fit into 135 .

And then can use the spark 110 EBC HH pads .

Need a bit of machining, the wave 125 screw bracket fits smaller diameter screw, so will drill a bit bigger and rethread to 12" screw size .

I m so happpiiiiiiii !!!!! :goodluck:

wat was previously wrong w/ yr brakes?

that day saw a nicely mod spark135 on the road outside suntec

called out to him when i stopped behind him at red light

he mod his rear brake disc and it was a damn nice job considering how 'original' and innocent that brake disc stood in place of the original drum brakes :cheeky:

if that bro happened to visit this form, juz wan to say...nice mod bro~

Just got advice fr mechanic....Pls do not use LED bulb for ur sparkie it not it'll melt its holder or case cos the voltage is too strong n it gets very hot n melt ur case,so stay on to ur original bulb or jus change its color n remain its voltage!!!

Hmm... sorry ah side track abit~

I was wondering, voltage is standard 12 VDC from your batt source. If you change your bulb to LED, it is still 12V what. How come will it melt neh? Hmmm... Unless the LED's amphere is different, thus will affect the current of the lighting system. If that is the case, can we change to LEDs with the same amphere as the orginal ones?

Any electrical engineers here can explain? :cheeky:

Sorry guys, been busy and caught a flu recently :giddy: , tats why reply so late.

Received my Spark last week. Rode it for 2 days then returned it to bike shop to remove the racing footrest and to install back the original. Reason cos i need to pillion my girlfriend and the rider footrest is too close to the pillon's. She also get cramps when going long distance cos the pillion footrest is so much higher.

Conclusion: Do not change to racing footrest unless you're planning to 1) go down to the track 2) become a monk (cos not looking for girlfriend) :slapforehead: 3) you got too much cash. 4) the riding position sucks big time.

Heard there's a lot of commotion regarding the poor braking if you change to rear disc brakes but using original footrest. My mechanic did a bit of modification and mine works like a charm :thumb: .

I also install Led at my rear wheel. Changed the 2 small light in front to red ones. Installed tons of accessories at JB. Soon I'll post pics on my bike. Currently camera is down.

BTW, can anyone start a tread on the outings cos this Spark 135 tread too many pages.

Happy riding

there could be 2 reasons

either 1 the led is emiting too much heat til it affects the holder as led needs breather holes to release the heat while our casing is water tight

2 this is wat happened to my R6 la

hte headlight got many aftermarket brands if u never look clearly the W and V are all different and some black shop jus tell u this fit ur bike fit nice nice very bright

but in the end cause wat holder bracket casing all melt

For safety reasons, is it a muz either to change the brake pads for 135, change the caliper or brake hose

i would recommend both if u have the extra cash

but if u are on budget of cos jus change the hose alone la cheaper

as for caliper eventually is the best solution for the best braking la

not yet do the mod,

the caliper + pads + machining work will cost Rm270 .

see after my mid-term and finish lab report first, too many homework lar

Just now i brought my 135 up to awana ( genting highlands ) for the first time, its been 3-4 months since i went up .

The way up through Ulu Yam and awana is pure nirvana although i veli slow lar, its no superbike.

Then here is the part i will ###### again,

up at Genting Sempah and going downhill,

halfway down, the damn brakes totally overheat and lose all braking power,

i was braking for my life.

the whole disc become blue color, wait see i post up the blue color disc let u see .

DAMNNNN !!!!! then stop at the guard house wait to cool down
