MSR TRACK DAY 5th Aug 2006 - Some Advise From Doktor DoL

 

Hello kawan2.. I would like to share/advise to those yang goin to track to play/practise..

 

Only to those goin to play.. Have an early nite on Friday.. Enuf sleep is important coz u need the concentration when u on track.. Jangan lah merayau merayap on friday nite..

 

Wash/De-Grease ur bike on Friday and check for any oil leak.. Bike must be grease free.. If any signs of oil leak be considerate and do not ride on the track coz ur buddy might run over ur oil spilled on the track and crash..

 

Since riding to the track i advise all to set ur tyre pressure dat friday nite b4 goin to bed.. Make sure the tyre is cold.. Wateva tyre u guys using i wud like to recomend the presure suitable according to bike cc..

 

These are only for track pressure 1000cc - 30psi rear 30psi front, 600cc-29psi rear 30psi front, 400cc - 26psi rear 25psi front, 250cc 25psi rear 24psi front, 150cc/125cc 24psi rear 22psi front..

 

Over the years ive ridden all class and used dat kinda pressure.. But make sure u increase the pressure back once back home..

 

On the sunday morning make sure have some light breakfast.. Nanti tak makan tak de energy nak power slide susah:goodluck: .. Drink lots of water (water parade) on dat morning b4 playing.. Dis to prevent heat stroke..

 

When u reach the track keep drinkin eventho u dont feel thirsty.. Do some light exercise/stretching b4 goin on track.. Dis must be done to prevent muscle tear/tension..

 

Final check on the bike and make sure again there is no oil leak then proceed in..

 

On the track do some slow lap and check the condition of the track while warming up urself, ur tyre, etc..

 

Never try to go above ur limits.. Ride to ur own limits.. Leave ur EGO at hm.. Practise Smoothness.. If u can be smooth then automatically ur lap time goes down..

 

Practise early braking so as u cud control the bike better in the turn and cud throttle ON early.. Dont be shy to open up ur leg and shift ur butt side ways.. Look at where u wanna go.. Look FAR at the inside of the turn.. If u feel dat ur bike is goin out of line then u shud react quick by looking over ur shoulder.. By doin dis ur bike will automatically comes back in.. Never SHUT the throttle i dat case.. Ur arms must be relax in the turn.. Be as relax as possible guys..

 

To those using normal road tyre, i advise u to come back to the PIT every 6-7laps coz the tyre cant take the heat dat much..

 

Oh ya.. Count ur gear when riding on track.. Dis might sound silly but till today i still count my gear when riding.. In case u forget wat gear u On then shift to 6 quickly then shift down back..

 

Rough gauge for u the right rpm ur bike shud be on when in the turn, 1000cc n 600cc n 400cc.. Rpm between 6500 to 8500.. As for the 2 stroker maintain RPM above 8000 rpm in the turn shud be ok.. If ur RPM is not within the range then u might be on the wrong gear for the turn.. Dont wori too much of the engine sounds souring very loud.. Ur engine can take it!!!

 

When u feel exhausted come in to the pit and take a rest but do not rest to long as time is clicking.. Keep drinking more water.. I advised u to go for minimum 2hr session then u wud be able to have a good practise..

This man is extremely fast on the track and got lots of patience when coaching..

aku actually enrol in dip in aviation sampai cpl/ir.course fee 50k,roughly took 1 yr.tapi in all aku 1.5 yrs kat sane.aku ni lembap sikit hehe.aku tukar skola,ppl flite test 2 kali,nasib cpl theory skali je pass.IR theory 4-5 kali ambik tak pass.so duit aku byk waste kat theory test n flying.tu pasal tak cukup..kau tak continue fly balik? aku dah lama tak fly.dulu fly kat senai.once a month ade fly.sejak ade moto duit habis kat moto

last aku pegang control column piper warrior was in 2001.. PPL aku da expire since 2002, bad accident, patah kaki & lung collapse... so aku medically unfit for flying, SGP ppl holders have to fly at least 5 solo hours to maintain the license validity.. summore YFC rental rate is $255 per hour.. dat time tak mampu.. lagi dgn kaki da patah. kalau nk amik balik kat SIA flying college would cost at least 12K... kan lebih baik aku amik course pat australia, lengkap dgn ATPL.... lepas tu cari airline sana, terus tinggal sana... boleh aku mampu beli nissan skyline dgn k6 1000.... haha... tapi da beli skyline dgn k6, tinggal dalam caravan, park mana2 ah..
