My advice would be to suck it up and just ride.. if you have signed on the dotted line alr, then no turning back.. so no point lamenting.. this is one of the reason why i dun like gg to bike shop.. :dozed:

Hi all scrambler riders,i juz bought a WR200,the machine prise itself is 5.5k...The plate is FN,is the price normal for a scrambler with plate no more than 10 yrs?thanks guys...

Just back out the sale and forget about the deposit, if u get the bike and decide to upgrade 1 year later , u would need to pay the new owner alot of money to sell (at least $3-4K).

Dont bother what the salesman say , if really cannot change to a kup-cia or rxz from that shop dont pay more than $1.5k machine price ....:faint:

and go to the shop immediately ,if they say name transfer already say u can pay for the double transfer.

Anyway did u wear a 999 gold necklace size of a bike chain into the shop???

how much you downpay?

my friend recently also looking for a WR2, he asked a shop in AMK.

they say 3k+ to 4k. for machine only.

Slow down abit, smell the air and enjoy the scenery.

Either u forget the deposit or change to a cheap bike ,Take any cheap bike and and sell the bike later ,than get scrambler .(not from that shop again)

Go there and say " wah $700+ add $5500 = $63++ Cannot afford lah!!! .got cheap scooter or not? "

$5500 - $750 = $4750

you taking loan? for how many years? interest rate?

assuming 3 years + 6% int = you are paying $6355 for the bike leh.

got handling/document fees? normally $300.

what about your insurance?

i think you go slackrider and get from fellow riders, much more cheaper.

$3k plus you can ride out the bike already.

Slow down abit, smell the air and enjoy the scenery.

omg 750 deposit! take deriyiu's advice, if they refuse to refund deposit, try to ask for an alternative bike say u cannot afford 6.5k as u expected 5.5. ask for the cheapest bike there. suck thumb ride it for a while, then sell and look for another scram

Yeah dude the best advise is to forget abt the deposit .. It will serve as worthy investment rather than be stuck in 5K plus loan.

FN plate most to most is abt 2K plus only, dat is a good condition one. I suggest u do a bit more research and ask around ur frends with bike before u kena chopped again.

Later u post another thread bought RXZ at 8K ..

All the best bro in finding ur bike.

Before doing anything else have a WR2 expert check out the bike. If you have bought it from a specialist scram shop and it's in as new, PERFECT condition then there is a slim chance that it could actually be worth close to this much. But you would have to really love WR2's to pay this.

Refer to SR post http://main.slackriders.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=37115.html

If not, you're much better off letting go of your deposit.

$750 loss is much better than $2750 which will be the minimum you will lose if you ride the bike out of the shop. (the above not being the situation)

If truly kena conned then you're better off approaching CASE to help you resolve this issue.

Please also post the name of the bike shop so that others can either beware or help to give feedback.

simple....go to CASE....they will help to fight back ur deposit...if not treat it as a lesson learnt and do more homework or get a fren to go with u next time

A frame powdercoat job prob cost $400-500....new engine rebuilt wif most things new prob cost u $2000 (new block, piston, bearings, clutch etc)....suspension rebuild front and rear ard $500.....new plastic $500...new tyres $250...new brake pads + rotor $350...new FMF?..prob $300-500...price are estimate base on past rebuild

FN WR2 wif COE going ard $1.5-2.5K depending on condition....assume u buy the cheapest and rebuilt urself...its still way cheaper and better sense of satisfaction and custom to ur liking and fun along the way

U paying S$5500..how new and how recent is the rebuild?...replace everything new or recond???....go to CASE...dun wait...
