So which is better, Spiderman 3 or Pirates?

Pirates of the Caribbean, I have not watched yet but from the reviews that I've read, out of the 3 Pirates of the Caribbean movies, part 3 is the lousiest of the lot. I think Spider-Man 3 is the better of the two... :)

'Hostel 2' starts off from where 'Hostel' ends. For a while anyway, before continuing the story with different characters. The plot and storyline do not stray far from the first movie except now, the lead characters are all women.

 

It is interesting to discover that the organization which supplies the perverted rich people with humans for them to maim, torture and kill is globally high tech and systematic. Once a 'lamb' for the slaughter is obtained, a picture of that 'lamb' is then send out to the clients via handphones and PDAs where a bidding war starts. The highest bidder gets to inflict torturous pain and do as he pleases to the 'lamb' bought.

 

Similar to its predecessor, this movie is full of blood and gore, with violent, inhumane, maniacal acts that are able to make you sick to your stomach. There is even one particular scene that managed to make me cringe with dread. Really.

 

It is also horrifying to watch kids losing their innocence and humanity as they made one of their friends become the scapegoat when a killer demands one boy from the group to be killed. The scene where they played soccer at the end of the movie though laughable, is rather horrifying when you consider what they used as a soccer ball.

 

Two male actors from the series 'Desperate Housewives' are in this movie. One of them played a rich guy who fantasized on killing a human being but freaked out big time when he accidentally ran an electric saw through his victim. The other one, similar to his character in 'Desperate Housewives', has a hidden, sick personality. He looks wholesome on the outside but harbours murderous, maniacal thoughts, within.

 

The ending of this movie is rather unexpected for me and rather ironic. If you like 'Hostel', you will find that 'Hostel 2' is a decent sequel. Needless to say, this movie is definitely NOT for those who are faint at heart... :thumb:

A family of inbreds living in the forest of Kentucky has been kidnapping women and making them fight one another where the victor is then raped in the hope of impregnating her in order to start a fresh, non-incestuous bloodline. Well, when they kidnapped a gutsy, rugged woman whose brothers are very protective and love her very much, a murderous, bloody clash between the two families is inevitable.

 

'Bloodlines' is a campy, cheesy B grade movie with stiff and at times, overacting from it's casts. The special effects on the gruesome looks of the inbreds due to generations of inbreeding, are substandard. The movie may be violent and a tad gory but I found it hard for me to cringe in horror when the resulting effects from smashing faces and ripping the guts out, are laughable.

 

Even the logic factor is missing in this movie. The movie aims to show that good will ultimately triumphs over evil that a logical conclusion is thrown out the window. I don't recommend this movie unless you really have no other movies to watch and don't mind wasting an hour plus of your life away... :nono:

Its not a movie but I don't want to open a new thread, a nice drama series to share with you

 

One of "heart-wenching" South Korean TV drama series

Story line is about this two couples (Gam Woo-sung & Son Ye-jin) got divorced 2 years ago due to the death of unborn child. Because the pain was so great that divorce is their only way of easing their sorrow.

 

But for years past by they keep meeting each other for some odd reasons, checking out each other's love life, making excuses for meeting dates like marriage & divorced anniversaries, unborn child birthday, christmas... even though they still love each other, in their pride, they end up introducing someone else to each other to hope that the other-party can find true happiness.

 

In the few last episode, after 4th year since their divorce, the male actor (Gam Woo-sung) did marry a new woman, and his ex-wife (Son Ye-jin) reluntantly attend their wedding to wish their happiness & the "ultimate heart-wenching" starts from there...

 

This drama is aiming towards mature audience, a slow moving drama series, hinting the meaning of love, marriage, divorce, life & death.

 

The female actress (Son Ye-jin) won a few awards in this Drama

What do you do when you want to save the life of the one you love and all hopes of doing so are almost non-existent? Well, for Johnny Blaze, he made a deal with the devil to save the life of his father in exchange for his soul.

 

Through the ages, we've heard and read stories that states when making deals with the devil, nothing good will come from it. Things will never turn out the way you expect it to be. Ditto in Johnny's case. He still lost his father when the devil screwed him over. To add salt to his wound, he is now officially the devil's bounty hunter in capturing and annihilating wayward souls.

 

The special effects in this movie is stylish and awesome. I especially like the scenes where Johnny experiments with his newfound powers and when his bike transforms into a blazing two wheeler that leaves behind a trail of fire as it speeds through the streets. The storyline is straightforward and decent enough without any confusing subplots or twists. No surprises considering that this movie is a screen adaptation from a comic book of the same name.

 

Personally, I like the movie cos I am a Nicholas Cage fan. Comic book buffs should like this movie as well and ditto for bikers... :thumb:

Fantastic 4 is good..But its better if ure a Marvel fan..

 

but this movie has Silver Surfer in it..and he is so freaking cool!!wish
