WR is a dual purpose bike.

KTM is a race ready bike.

FC for WR ranges between 16-19km/litre on the average.

A KTM can be from 11 to 13km/litre.

Price wise is definitely more for KTM

Anything else, we've discussed this topic for years. Do a search, please.

If you want a KTM must ride like a tiger, if ride a KTM like a ****** cat then the plug will forever foul. And never cheapskate on the maintenance cos it will bite back

If you need to ask, you are probably not ready to commit to a pedigree race machine like the KTM.

High performance and low maintenance are mutually exclusive.

Past: KDX200, LC4 400, LC4 620, GSXR750WR

Present: CBR900RRY, Gas Gas EC250, XR250L, XR250RV, XR400 (motard-ed), NX650 Dominator

It's your call. Who's stopping?

Provided you know it's of high FC, its of high maintenance due to the cost of its spares if you run it for distance everyday on the highway, who's stopping ya?

You got the moolah, let's do the cha-cha.

imo.. 4-strokers make better motard.. 2a will be a gd choice to get a motard..

ktm2 is gd fer motard too.. playin at small tracks is sufficient.. maybe can clear bends or corners faster den da bigger bikes as they`re smaller n lighter.. but fer bigger tracks.. it`ll haf problems keepin up wif da bigger bikes.. the straights will leave da ktm2 behind..

yes.. i used to trail wif my wr2.. went once wif my drz.. intendin to hit da tracks once i`ve fully recovered frm my accident.. =)

most prob you gonna use the bike for transport, so i say wr2 for you.. if you gonna use a ktm for transport, you gonna blow a big hole in your pocket in no time..

yeah.. 80% for transport 20% for dirt...

Dirt % will increase if i have more time since i like doing challenging stuff :D

how abt the resale value problem? wr200 hard to sell away since its so old already?

:/

a dr200 and wr200 and xr200..

which will be a better choice?

now so old, you gonna buy so cheap, wad resale value you want? 20% profit ah? haha.. i feel that wr2 is a very good bike for newbies..

there is no best choice one.. everyone wants a bike for different purpose.. for your purpose, wr2 would fit the bill.. other than that is your budget.. how much money you got for the monthly maintainence.. the regular wear and tear..

xr2 and dr2 are 4 stroke bikes.. much better fc than wr2.. i would suggest you go do a search here or go slack riders.. good luck for your TP!
