[SSDC] Class 2A (2016)

Anyone taking 2A at SSDC can fall in here. Since nearing 2016 in a few days I just put 2016. Just enrolled yesterday. Mine is worst case scenario - got 2B in Dec 2009, never ride on the road at all until now.

 

Included a poll so once you pass can share how many pracs in total before you can go TP.

Wow 6 years.

 

I passed 2B and never rode for 1.5 years before enrolling for 2A. Passed TP on 11/12/2015.

All the best! Initially the riding skills can be stiff but slowly it will get back to you.

1 week wait for each lesson? or a couple of days with lessons offered?

Just completed first lesson. Failed. But barely. Instructor saw me riding like **** and ask me "you repeat"? Then I say "no first time, havent ride in 6 years", and his tone change from annoyed to more lenient.

 

Plank was good, bumpy coursw was my best course, slalom sometime can sometime cannot.

 

For SSDC ard a week, but I managed to cancel mine and found 3 day earlier slot that someone cancelled. So maybe you can try after booking everyday cancel and check in case got earlier slot others cancelled.

just to share...my 2a at ssdc amk was the most tiring ever...i clear lesson 1 n 2 wit ease but evaluation i took 9 times til the instructor tell me as long no immediate fail he will pass me... then comes tp i passed wit 4points...

My instructor for first lesson is Jayapaalan. Very good, not garang. Good he say good bad he say bad. Wont mark you.

don't worry, you will get used to the bike. The most important thing for me is, where you look while riding, it really helps to stabilise yourself and, what instructors always say to me, relax!

You are right! The first 4 times I do the plank I dropped as soon as I mounted the plank. Then I remember to look far. I looked at the end of the plank and then the next 4 times I finished all the way.

 

I got problem with the slalom though. I find that I can't change to gear 2 fast enough. Once I changed to gear 2 I'm already at the first cone, but scared to accelerate, and automatically press rear brake. That makes the engine vibrate and want to stall.

Yea, slalom was also a problem for me. But after asking the instructors for tips, I instantly improved. Don't be shy to ask instructors, they know what's wrong with your riding and can really help you out.

Yup. Asked my instructor afterwards and he explained to me. Still need to practice more. Managed to get a slot tomorrow morning, 3 days after my first one. Initially booked 7 Dec, but cancelled and saw a new slot opened tomorrow. Weeee!

Passed my prac 1 repeat today. Instructor was awesome and cool. Name is Md Hazli. Booked for my prac 2 this coming friday. Prac 2 more slots than prac 1. Can book for next 3 days slot.

Bros here, i have one issue,

 

Last night, when i enter the season carpark, the ERP Carpark at HDB, it doesn't allow me to enter. It says "IU cannot detected, please insert cash card". I inserted cash card n entered the carpark

 

The shocking part is earlier i enter and exit other carpark without any hassle. But the moment, I stop at my season parking Barrier, the IU machine totally blackout, n there is not response when i insert or pull the cash card inside IU.

 

 

This morning i couldn't exit carpark because it says "no entry record", until i had to intercom and they open gantry.

 

Same problem arise tonight, IU machine blackout when i was waiting for ERP sensor to scan my IU. And just earlier i had no such problem at other carpark prior to enter this season parking.

 

I called the hotline but the staff not able to solve my issue, and suggest me to call them back next day, as other experienced staff will be around.

 

Please advise if any of our riders experienced similar problem.

Anyway today took lesson 2 and failed. Totally cant do the figure 8. Bike number 6 doesnt have good throttle and signal indicator doesnt work.

Am in SSDC for Class 2A too, enrolled in November 2015.

 

Failed prac 2 yesterday....hollanded during the test route lol

 

Seems like we have the chance to use the new Honda CB400F soon, some instructors are playing with it already. Saw a few without number plates sitting in the carpark with the plastic wrap still on it.

 

My friend taking 2A in BBDC are already transitioned to using the new CBF400F, his feedback was that it's less hot and feels lighter.
