Let's Discuss the legality & illegallity of this Chopper's parts

Hi there everybody in this forum especially to those who are passionate with cruisers and choppers be it Harley Davidson or Japanese made-bike. The reason that I opened this special thread is to make a discussion of what is allow or not allow to be part of the motorcycle. Be it a major or minor modification or acessories. The discussion should be based on ROV and LTA's rules and regulation and like what will the traffic police look for.

Anyone who had bad experience with the issue of modication or acessories may share your story too. I have attached a chopper bike pic for sample which is suppose to be the main discussion on the stated issue of legality and modication. Thanks.

PS: Just leave out the signal light and side mirror as we all know basically that this is a must-put-on a bike.

No need to discuss....

thats true.

useless to discuss. we are still and always will be at the mercy of lta. i was caught for my mods b4. fined $650 but hey.. i'm still ard. still modding. bottom line is.. ppl who wanna ride a bobber for everyday usage cannot go that extreme for mod.. but if u jus wanna have a project bike which u will only ride on special occassions, then how lawful the machine looks doesnt really matter.

on a side note.. any one interested to have a modding competetion? :cheeky:

The above motorcycle is completely legal in Singapore... until TP or LTA catches you. :thumb:

side mount the plate ok or not?

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

if u can find a TP who is one-sided, then can lor. wat u can do is

the actual number plate is at its legal place.

then the side mounted plate u can put some fanciful logo plate lah. saw some HD riders do this.

Well it depends on what cruiser you are riding and who is the Officer checking you.

We all know how a Phantom sounds like so not easy to get away if modded.

As for 400cc and above bikes can be tricky based on the way u do up ur bike to make it look like a suspected Harley.

As for Harleys, its subjected to the Officer of the day.

Cobra pipes or not, u suay means u suay.

If you intend to use loud aftermarket pipes (and have a tendency to go out late);

Worry about your neighbours, not ROV or TP.
