Correct timing mean

1. Clutch in

2. close throttle

3. Change gear

all at once..i realise that if u do it quickly at at ONE SHOT..no "thug' sound

try clutch in then close throttle then after that kick gear..surely got 'thug'

I believe that its a common problem amoung all the new super4 riders. I shall try it out then, clutch in, close throttle and change gear all at 1 go.

my bike got "kraak, kruuk" sound wen movin.. kinda like rubbin sound eh..

can anyone tell me y?

is it the chain or clutch plate?

i change gear at 4000 or 4500 rpm.

thanks!

u change gear too early. As for me i drag till 6000rpm then i change my gear. Please dont have the thinking that if u drag ur gear will spoil the engine. According to bikeshop mech, u got to drag a little to open up the engine valve if not will jam in the future.

the thing is wen i ride slow ( below 50/60 km/h) there will be the rubbin sound.

ride faster abit (80/90 km/h) den dun haf..

hmmm...

Check the lubrication and alignment of your drive chain. Manually move your bike slowly and check its chain tension at various positions. If it is loose at one position and taut at another position, then it means the rear wheel is not properly aligned with the drive chain. This will occur especially if there is improper alignment during the tensioning of the drive chain. If the loose/taut problem is very bad, then replacing a new drive chain (preferrably also with a new pair of sprockets) is recommended. You should also see if the teeth of the rear sprockets are sharp and pointed, which means is gone case liow.

are u saying that must clutch in and instantaneously change gear???

Try to change gears at between 3.5k and 4k rpm and at half clutch. It works very smoothly for me. If gear change is done below 3k rpm, engine braking effect can be felt and the gear change will not be so smooth also.

Used to do clutchless shifts on my kr. When I bought it over to my s4, had alot of screeching sound, coz my clutch plates were botak! Still abit phobia to change w/o clutch, so nowadays i usually juz pull half clutch, close throttle abit only (no nid to close all e way), shift up and reopen back to previous position, all in a split second. It works..

Sound like your clutch plates are wearing off very soon...or the clutch cable need adjustment likely at the lower end near the crank case right side(follow the cable). If there is no more to adjust...liao..about time to change. The plates are cheap..but its the label and the eo that cost.

Be cautious here!...if the clutch plates is too excessively worn..it can also damage the clutch housing and spacer..that gonna cost much more additional. If you want...do tell the mech to save your oil and reuse them..but make sure they drain it to a clean pan or something. You may have to get 1 litre and use some to compensate for what's wasted. Good luck.

For my case, its always when i drop gear to gear 1, the 'tak' sound is quite loud. Any reason for that?
