Hello to o2 ATOM users here,

My ATOM is very troublesome, it always hang at least 1 or 2 times a day.

I have to attend to it once in a while when I left it on the desk.

This is getting frustrating which "why do I have to make my life difficult looking after my o2" when I already have to look after 2 troddler.

 

Anybody experience this? I mean the o2 just hang! Please help.

ROM version: 20060105B1WWE

 

I'm download the Xda-Atom-ENG-20060123.exe right now.

If it still HANG after upgrade, then I might consider selling it off and live my life without being bother by this kind of technology.

 

Anybody interested? o2 ATOM 1 month old, 1GB RAM with screen proctector. Name a price and call 91066988.

hi, none of us here facing the same problem as you, may be your atom has hardware problem, if after ROM upgrade still facing the same problem, it is better send it back to O2 service center to get it done.

man, am thinking of doing gmask. what do you think? do they do custom design?

ya, it scratched my Atom without i realise it, damn...

but the case is good, i drop my Atom few times already, lucky got the hard case protection...

 

gmask is good, may be i will go do it also, Bishan Junction 8 got small stall doing this thing.

i dunno they got custom make or not...

 

for Atom new casing, it is about $50 to replace at O2 service center, take 3 days...

Duh.... I wanted to make a phone call at 10:03pm.

Den I lift up the O2 ATOM, bladdy basketball cockanathan...

The cockanathan HANG again and have to be reset.

 

Anybody can advise where i can get it replace or service?

i think u got a really bad set...

go to o2 centre. bugis it think. tell them your sufferings and they will ease your pain.

damn... today, it got RESET twice again. Once at 10+ and again while I was having lunch. I really got mad and and it upset my lunch.

 

I might drop to Bugis and get it fix before this gadget affecting my life more.

I think I need to take some cool control pills before walking into the shop.

Coz I got a feeling these guys will tell me cockanathan and bulls stories.

Lastly, they will even ask me to leave the set there for a few days to hurt my wounds even deeper.

The update is: "I still pulling my hair" Still no joy on my o2 after the latest ROM upgrade.

 

What I have done is this after the ROM upgrade:

DAY 1.

Uninstall Magic Button - v2.0

( Since most of the people I spoken, they said I got too many application installed )

Hey.. it didn't RESET you know, I am beginning to like my toy.

 

DAY 2.

In the morning, I do a RESET since some mention that you need to reboot for a good clean starup for the day. I did RESET. Felt good. But the bladdy toy fail me. It did RESET by itself a few hours later.

 

DAY 3 and 4

It did RESET.

 

DAY 5.

It's working fine without any problem! What the heck is happening here.

I think I need to tweak the registry to remove all those uncessary stuff that came in.

ya, i tried the magic button before, it is still got problem with WM5.0, and the O2plus was out, so i switch to O2plus, it is much better than Magic button.

 

did you tweak any registry of your Atom?

I used PHM to edit as per Gerard posted, the Atom runs without any problem, however it doesn't run any faster

 

you may try to clear all 3rd party software inyour Atom, then install them 1 by 1 to see which program causing it to reset...

Btw guys, there's version 2 upgrade for Atom.

 

the ROM version is still the same, but the radio ram is changed.

 

do the upgrade now!! O2 did a superb job this time, 3 ROM upgrade in 1 month.

 

1st ROM upgrade on 18 Jan, 2nd Rom on 28Jan, then 2nd edition of 2nd ROM upgrade on 14 Feb. :thumb:
