jbat, thanks alot for ur opinions and experience. appreciate it alot.

 

btw radiator cap is good. water pump also moving. fan is not faulty. coolant change 3times in a year, which i think is ridiculous... theres no leak though... but if i remove the thermostat, will it make any difference? really headache ah, my thigh feels hot. i cannot tahan till have to tumpang members to werk n come back.. frighten if engine wil crack if too hot...

 

last resort, sell bike!

 

Removing thermostat is always a no no...Unless its jammed and your stucked in some ulu land with no replacement then its ok...(Temporary till you are back into civilization)...Reason why i dont recommend removing the thermostat is because,it will cause excessive ovality wear on the cylinder block and piston during warm up..

 

I've overhauled a few diesel engines that have this problem(petrol n diesel engines have similar cooling system)..Mechanic too lazy to replace the stucked or jammed thermostat,removed it..Engine still start,warming up will be slower as there's no control of coolant to radiator,piston heats up faster than the cylinder bore and there's when you get excessive ovality wear.

 

Since waterpump is ok...no leakage and radiator cap is good..How about your air/fuel ratio?..Is it running lean?..Read your sparkplugs..its should be tea brown till kopi brown..not whitish(Lean) or Black(Rich)..If thats ok,how about gear ratio?..I've seen a friend of mine overheats his Vtec3 while cruising at 140-160km/h(my meter speed) at NSHW...Found out his sprocket was 15-46th..While we were cruising at 140-160,his meter actually shows excess of 30km/h..This causes inadequate air speed to flow in the radiator...

Tu apek pat planet pun aku dengar2 bagus.. But before my problem came, I did service my radiator at bikewerkz. I tink go back ahbeng shop n ask him better.

I have gone both garage... if u have major problem on engine it's better to go planet and if modification for engine bikewerks is the best..... For price wise planet is still cheap or can bargain but bikewerk if u regular customer he will give discount. For waiting time both are still the same pack of customer. Recommend to go on weekday in the morning....... So now u have the picture of both garage.... It's your choice....

Wow bad luck bros.. Some ******* hit my bike and just went off.. Bike fell to the right.. My right side crash bar dented, tail got scratches, piston cover got slightly dented and scrapes at balancer and mirror... Fcuk man... Now must go cari right side crash bar.. Lucky the lv pipe never kena anything.. kena means jialat...

Did repair, service my radiator again.. At bike shop, overheat light came up.. Check thermostat but not faulty... End up just change sometink on the bottom left of the radiator and took out the whole radiator for washing... Overheat light doesn't came up again but bike still feels hot... Haiz.. Demam agakmye.. Cost of damage.... $50

 

After tat went for servicing at unique... Quite surprise tat OWS engine flush does make a difference to my bike... Feels like bike really light... Can fly.... Hahaha...

As for me, I did a proper check on my tire pressure and yeah pumped accordingly, cornering feels good man.. -_-"

When wash the radiator got rust water comes out or not?. Maybe your radiator clogged abit. The bottom left thing on the radiator is the fan switch. Its works by sensing the coolant temperature. But weird coz you mention in past post fan was working..

 

That ows or motul engine flush really works.. It will loosen those carbon sludge n deposits especially near the piston rings. I use it once a year.

Shaf/jbat: i used the ows engine flush also, yeah can feel abit diff or maybe becos we chanhe new eo thats why got feeling can fly haha.. Its. Cheaper way than to service carb. I wana try every year do.. Since people say if carb no prob dont open up and service.
