TAKDE la bro, asri nye pipe lagi maut. I might wanna change the racing fiber at bikewerks. Now using normal White fiber but packed tightly..

Check coolant tank...needs top up..Coolant will always overflow when the engine overheats...If your radiator totally kering,there's now way the sensor can detect your engine is overheating...

 

There is several causes to overheating..we go by the cheapest to solve first.

 

1. Radiator Cap faulty(Check the radiator cap rubber seal(only when engine is cold)...if the seal is damaged,the radiator cap could not increase the pressure of coolant inside the engine. Increasing pressure inside the cooling system increases the coolant boiling temperature)

 

2. Water pump not working due to worned or broken impeller.(Open up the radiator cap,start the engine open throttle slightly..water level inside the filler cap will go down slightly if waterpump is working. If not waterpump koyak.)

 

3. Thermostat stuck closed. (Purpose of thermostat is to let the engine warm up faster by allowing the coolant to circulate around the engine only when cold and opens up the coolant temp get higher[.eg 70-80 degrees]. How to check?..Start the engine while cold...Let it idle..Touch the top hose of the radiator(Right hand side),It should be cold...Smoke a ciggy or two...touch again...it shoud be warm..If not,thermostat is stucked closed.

 

4. Radiator fins dirty decreasing radiators cooling efficiency...(Easy...clean up your radiator...)

 

5. Leaking head gasket or leaking hoses connection..(How to know?..You need to topup radiator water every month..

jbat, thanks alot for ur opinions and experience. appreciate it alot.

 

btw radiator cap is good. water pump also moving. fan is not faulty. coolant change 3times in a year, which i think is ridiculous... theres no leak though... but if i remove the thermostat, will it make any difference? really headache ah, my thigh feels hot. i cannot tahan till have to tumpang members to werk n come back.. frighten if engine wil crack if too hot...
