Tunning Carb

hi guys...

i went to wash and tune my carbs yesterday..

before that my rpm needle will move slightly when ideling..

but after tuning and change to a k&n air filter the rpm needle still moves slightly when ideling ..

isit suppose to be like this??

or the rpm needle should be stable while ideling?????

would like to know those who bought new s4 when u hit how much km then u all go wash and tune ur carb?

before was 0.5..after tuning the mech set it to 1

but the needle still moves from 1.2-0.7 like tat

i wash and change air filter at 30,000km

my rpm needle also moves slightly during idling so i dont think it's much of a problem. it also happens to my friends' super fours so it's prob normal, tho varying from 1.2 to 0.7 does seem a bit high

Just bought my vtec 1 and went to a bike shop, they said my bike requires to do tuning.. and it cost 120 and about 3 days.

 

What does the tuning includes? any body noes? ty..

Tuning alone shouldn't cost more than $20. Unless it's servicing which includes wash & tune of the carburettor which cost around $60 at Unique Motorsports. http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2808782&postcount=6

By the time you go back there 3 days later, more problems migh arise or your parts swapped...

agree! usually that's the trick that pirate shops use to chop pple... cos i kenna before....

wash carb and tune most prob need one day too..

if you do proper tuning, meaning you'll need to wash carb, try and test, take out carb change jetting, try and test.. until you satisfied of cuz..

if inclusive of jetting, may go up till $300??

 

for normal wash carb and tune air/petrol mixture would be ard $60-80 price range.. in 3hrs, can lah, if no customers..

I went to pleasure to change my jets,wash carb n do tuning plus dyno run cost only $160...Alot of different after it lo...CAn give it a try...

just bought spec2...the fuel consumption i know is shite..full tank is ard 150km..

 

the question..what can i do abt it?what r the possible problems?things needed to change?n most importantly...how much to cure this problem?

 

s4 noob here..dunno much.as far as i know i know.pipe n everything else is fully stock.fuel is 98.bike FW plate.

Whao!! go try complaint to the shop first, ask if they can wash and tune for you. else, try other shop..
