yea man third party cover fire n death,the so call "2nd party" cover fire thieft n death..n the insurance will write third party fire and thieft..my fren insurance is the same as this..

i think wat bike shop means is by 2nd party is the 3rd party fire and theft..

that is commonly known to most bike shop as second party as its tiring to say third party fire and theft all the time wat..

insurance is..

1st party (comprehensice)

3rd party (fire and theft)

3rd party (3rd party liabilities)

 

so wat u can do on ur part is check your original cert whether its covered under fire and theft or not..

if not, then u have the right to confront the shop..

but usually if not most finance company minimum requirement fior insurance is a 3rd party fire and theft or "second party" for bikes especially brand new bikes..

pls check first before u go there , make a scene end up the shop correct..

New bike under hire purchase min must have 3rd part fire and theft unless otherwise stated by the hire purchser or bike shop. I have bought 2 new bike under TPFT.

3rd party insurance can be done inclusive u have the approval from the shop which ur bike is still under finance of. If not under finance it should be minimum 3rd party fire and theft

I know 3rd party fire n theft is "2nd party", but mine is not fire n theft. I got it because approved by my bikeshop..

well thats not bad..

if u can "cham seong" with the bike shop, then can get 3rd party insurance..

cheaper..

for for me..

i rather stick to 3rd party fire and theft..

at least got assurance with all the bike theft around..

paiseh for late reply....ok...well the shop really gave me a 3rd party only and did not fulfill the so called 3rd party with fire & theft which we agree on...he admitted that it was his clerk's cokup that make tis mistake which i really doubt....so in the end i have to wait again for my 'new' insurance....since they have decided to honour the insurance, i dun tik its appropriate to say the shop name and decided to let this matter rest...thanks guys for ur info on the insurance.....

Guys i called MITSUI just now..ask about Wave insurance,third party. i 20 yrs old she say now 300+. Next yr (which is nxt week) go up to 400+ becos GST!!!!!~~ :cry:

pls dun scare people with 300+ and 400+ figures... we're talking about a hundred bucks... GST is only 2% increment... not 30% dude...

u put ur father name also no use...u will still pay the premium according to the youngest name....and if ur bike is under installment, mitsui is not applicable..

my bike sui2 last time the new rule havent implement yet..so they see the OLDEST age which is my dad's. I noe now change liao..cos many accidents.. Hais...wat to do.. if i the gahment... and my dad is BILL GATES.. i wont be in this forum already.. :cheeky:

I called mitsui..they quote me $430. I ask other people their cheaper leh.. Just wana now the prices...

 

Btw im 20 yrs old.

 

I wana noe peps out there who buy Mitsui and Ntuc ins for wave whom are the same age as me to post their insurance. Third party only.
