I have a 2 yr old GSF650S - had it a few months and not had time to put much mileage on it. Very lucky as extremely low mileage when I bought it - a steal as practically new. Much cheaper than buying a 2yr old FZ6S. I saw a 4yr oldCBF600 in MAH recently and they wanted $11k - it had been gathering dust for a while. Bandit S looks different though as not so many around but not quite the mean look of the FZ6!

Parked it next to a Fazer 6 recently and it seems to sit higher - also the weight is higher up. Also slightly heavier at arouhd 204kg. This is the last one before they changed to oil cooled. But enough grunt for motorway blasts and just as capable round the town. Plenty of torque means it is more forgiving with less constant gear changes and it will pull away in higher gears than expected. Need to take it north to see how it really fares!

Servicing etc fine....dealer that originally imported it in is great and seems to do most of the trade in these. Being a Suzuki the build quality is never as good as some other manufacturers and there are a few buzzes in the fairing. Nothing that some tape won't get rid of. Clocks are huge - very easy to read - and I like the fuel gauge, clock etc. Bit weird getting used to analogue revs and digital everything else. Fuel consumption around town good. Screen is a bit low - wind seems to hit you square in the head and I'm only 5'4''. I've had several bikes - last one was a downsize to a CB400. This has far more power than a superfour and is way more fun to ride!

But I do like the look of the new XJ6...had an old one...might be a while before it comes here and it looks to be even heavier than the Bandit S which will not be great for the town.

i have nvr tried before

cos

i nvr use reserve

approx. 20km/L (though it is about 21 km/L), i reach 260, or near that mileage, i go top up le

i can nvr imagine myself pushing the bike for more than 3km-

PS: once i pushed the bike for about 2+ km... i was lying inside the bike shop for the next 3 hrs......... massive loss of water from the body, through every single pores and holes where any form of body fluid can come out from, all the fluid came out

LOL

$8.5k for 5900km on clock - a steal! Finance - dunno as traded in old PB1 for 1.5k, paid 2k cash and borrowed rest of cash from bank instead of finance company. Better rate for small amount of cash hat I could pay off in fewer months.

Fuel consumption slightly higher than CB400 but can easily do severalof hundred k's city driving on a tankful. Haven't had it long enough to work out optimum...

Pics up later this week-left them at work!
