Isn't this what you typed ?

1.35 to 1.40 Range. Means rider can do from 1.35 to 1.40 right ? Correct me if I misinterpret.

I said 1.35 to 1.37 (No Sgp rider has clocked this laptime to date)

FYI, I mentioned I am on gd terms with Dol becos someone else said I'm not on gd terms with him. I corrected his statement.

Why you want to tell me Ducati rider clock 1.39 on 1098 ? I know there is. Does this means he can do 1.35 to 1.40 ? If that's what you want to say. I call and ask him now. I know I slow. But I know how to read.

A rider can do FROM 1.35 to 1.40?

NOT FROM... a timing somewhere between, 1.35 to 1.40.

What do u mean he can do 1.35 to 1.40.??

i would rephrase it, he can do a timing between 1.35 to 1.40

Dont think it will make any difference even if i mentioned the best few riders in singapore can have timings some where between 1.30 - 1.45

Is that more clear.?

anyway...You've made ur point already. no one has done a timing between 1.35 to 1.37. (maybe one day someone might)

End of topic.

Anyway, No hard feelings to anyway.

Just some misunderstanding of words, sentences and phrases.

Guys.. Peace plssss.. Wateva brand bike u riding, whicheva workshop/team u supporting, whicheva past/present rider is your iDOL, they are all from our country.. Having grievences/politics among our small community of riders are very unhealthy to the sports..

This is my tots..

As a rider, we should support/respect each other be it you are a racer or a track day rider.. By doin this, it will expedite the growth of motosports in our country.. Rather sooner than later.. Then without realising, we have our own roadracing circuit here.. Lets look back.. We were racing in carparks, the dirtbikers were always on a lookout for empty land.. Now we have Tuas circuit.. The circuit were built to accomodate the growing numbers of active riders in that category.. The Sports Ministry never ruled out a road racing circuit here.. As soon as they see the increase population, the pressure for them to build one will be stronger.. So lets not have politics between us riders and do your part to build a healthy population..

Goin back to the Laptimes at PG..

Ive observed that ppl tend to disagree to the laptime posted here.. Again, as a rider, be it official or laptimer, we should respect it and look forward and welcome more local rider to try and break the barrier.. When ppl tell me Ducati rider clocking 1.39, i knoe it is Mark and i believe he can do it.. Hats off to Mark for being able to clock that time on a normal practise day.. Cum race day, he should clock 2-4sec faster.. Eventho so, it will not be official coz pg will not have official timing for Clubman race i believe (toilet paper also they dont have).. Eventho it is not official, should we object it when others post it here based on wat they clock or see on the riders laptimer?

Unlike 5 years (or more) back, pg always have races with official timing. With frequent race organise at pg, we would be able to see record laptimes been smashed.. Now, pg do not have race organise for us as regularly as last time.. Even the Asia pac deemed pg as an unsafe circuit to race on.. If im not wrongl, since 2006, there is onli one race organise for us at pg.. That is the race that i participated in Nov 2007.. Before participating in the race at pg, ive never clock below 1.42 with the R1 and i tell myself it is impossible to break dat 1.42 with the current state of the track.. But cum race day during quali flying, im just fliying by myself.. Believe it or not i broke the 1.40 barrier and was so happy that i point my laptimer to the italian luca n claudio immediately when we pit.. I was looking forward to break it further during race but unfortunately it rains and i just cruise myself to the finishing line in 5th..

Me will always try and build good terms with fellow riders.. Me will always support any riders dat looking forward to improve and race.. Me has always encourage riders to participate in races.. All dis is for the growth of motorcycle racing scene here in our country.. This year we will see the record numbers of sg riders racing in sepang.. Hopefully, our riders will emerge as a threat to the others and make us proud.. Hopefully, our riders will smashed the laptimes set by the past MSS riders.. Eventho if its not ME, i will be proud and as happy as he is coz its my fellow countryman..

Ive never had issue with Bikelab or the riders.. Infact Bikelab has indirectly supported me and my team.. Hats off to Bikelab for their contineous effort contributed to the growth of motorsports.. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Now finally, can someone put my name, bike and laptimes set at pg for me..

Here it goes..

Doctor DOL CBR600RR 08 1:47 (xt racing laptimer) set on 31st March 2008.. :(

We might all be singaporeans and should support each other, but without competition we stagnate. Competition is vital for everyone to improve and raise to a higher level. Of course with competition there will also be some friction between various parties now and then, be it from misunderstandings/on-track incidents/gossip&rumours or maybe one party will steal the other party's umbrella girl.

Whatever friction it may be, it will be up to the various parties to deal with the issue, either settle quietly or become lifelong feud. We might all be singaporeans, but people are people, and some won't get along. It just adds to the competition.

But as our local racing scene growns and hopefully we get our own roadrace circuit, the competition won't be limited just to the track. People are going to start competing for sponsors/equipment/riders/bikes. When a sport grows the stakes will start to get higher. Hopefully the competition will remain friendly.

Those who risk nothing, do nothing, achieve nothing, become nothing.

How does my previous post relate to laptimes?

Rumours and gossip. Official timing, nobody can argue. Unofficial timing, maybe some people will say theirs, maybe some are shy, some sandbagging don't want others to know how fast they are. Some plasticbagging (my own term) want people to know how slow they are. Some hand-time, some onboard timer, some Mychron, some Starlane, some Tag Heuer, some Rolex.

At the sharper end of the field, some people are going to be touchy about laptimes. Even amongst themselves. That's natural, these people are in competition. For all you know, rumours flying here and there might even affect the chances of getting sponsorship. Suddenly got someone claiming 1:35s for other people! How da? All can sell bike and go fishing already, game over man.

If people wanna post their own laptimes for the scrutiny of others, they do so at their own risk. Nobody gives a damn about riders like me in the 1:50+ range (even i don't give a damn about me), we are just the hobbyists, not the racers. But when you get to the sharp end of the field, amongst the people who actually compete and race, i think non-involved parties should be VERY careful about what they say, or they might get their heads bitten off like what we've seen here. Even amongst the fast riders themselves they've got to be careful about what is said, so they don't need any extras creating unnecessary friction/issues among them.

ps. Remember this is a public forum, alot of eyes watching.

Those who risk nothing, do nothing, achieve nothing, become nothing.

Yes. It is true. there are Singaporeans doing 1.35 - 1.40.

See what you type. Maybe you can ask someone else to interpret what this sentence means. Because at the speed I read; (1.35 reading speed) My understanding is; will clock 1.35 to 1.40. Meaning best lap of 1.35.

Now, have I misinterpreted. Or is it you, that has made an ambiguous sentence.

I believe you will be the first Sgp'rean to clock 1.35 to 1.37, our very own Corse Stoner on your very pretty Xerox Ducati 999. I no money to buy Ducati, I can only watch in awe as you fly past me clocking 1.35.

I can never clock a timing that fast. But hopefully, there will be someone who can do it one day.

I'm riding as a hobbie.

Sorry for the trouble caused to everyone.
