as long as quick release and not double-ring type, won't pass psb... at least for now

In that case, I  no TP or police patrol car will stop me. Has the law with regards to no PSB approved helmets changed? Last time, the fine was $50 and the police has the right to confiscate the helmet...

Shoei my 1st choice if possible.

Might not look as slick as others, but reliable for me.

With every good wishes

i have owned a top of the range HJC Lordship HQ-1 and have recently subjected it to a crash at around 80km/h

the helmet suffered many scratches and impact was around jaw area

however i did not suffer any concussion and my head was fine apart from a slight abrasion suffered from my chin rubbing against the interior of the helmet. in fact, i was perfectly lucid (but shocked) after the crash.

i would say it really did its job in protecting my head during the crash.

i replaced the destroyed HQ-1 with an Arai Profile.

I have not yet crashed the Arai, but from looking at it the build quality and attention to detail is far beyond my old HQ-1 (the finishing on the HQ-1 always seemed a bit shabby in my opinion, the graphics didnt line up properly, etc)

It is more comfortable too and fits my head better (i have a small head so the HQ-1 always looked a bit oversized)

so in a nutshell, they are good helmets.

however, compared to the HJC HQ-1, I would say i would trust my head with the Arai Profile more.

The Arai Profile feels like a luxury helmet next to the HJC HQ-1.

And yes, HJC is from Korea.

i loved arai + agv, both super expensive but worth the value.

tested AGV:

crashed @ PG, landed face first onto the grass patch + rolled quite a distance, visor flew off with slight scratches and mouth guard slight scratches... but whole mouthful of grass(like a cow eating grass)... was rushed to CGH (coz few hours after the crash suddenly feel giddy and feel like vomitting), scanned neck and skull, no fractures or cracks(luckily) but abit neckache...

have yet to "tested" the arai, but i hope i will never get the chance to.

Shoei is the best. especially x 11. now x 12. is the best. Quiet than arai. Although Shoei do not have limited edition than Arai. Shoei proves its quality and standard. All padding in shoei can open and washable. but not the Arai. Shoei have safety standard than Arai. Go for shoei.. Its fit well.

ALWAYS READY! READY TO STRIKE!

Arai is good, but an Arai's price is more than a HJC carbon helmet price. That's what puts me on hold.

Just read in Lta website... Still considered against the law... But it's more towards the seller... By no insurance coverage for head injuries. Reason is quality control and of course to keep psb alive... Lol...

But I think the double d is the only 1 system to be able to keep the helmet on regardless the impact. Imagine the quick release releasing at the impact and u roll without the helmet... Not worth the risk...

Especially Singapore road... All the high end cars driving like there's no tomorrow...

Less than 300 for brand new is possible, less than 200 is very hard. You must try online overseas shop to find them. Places like eBay or motorcycle online stores. Usually their head size is quite extreme, like xs or xl.

Any shoei cost ard $200?
