If overharge , i buy the 03 R1 , or CBR 954 LIAO .

We'll know very soon.

Check out the teaser at Boon Siew's page. It's not much, but exciting nevertheless. We should see it next month.

Anyone noticed how amateur-ish their website is?

I dunno, S'pore and Japan entered a free trade agreement last year, did anyone notice bike prices going down?

The OMV for the 954 is around $13.5k Bike price without insurance is $21k, is that a lot of difference? Just wondering ...

Yep, probably until this week or next Mon.

I was told from a good source, Boon Siew should receive a sample unit soon, however, it would not be ready for registration so soon.

The price would still have to depend on the YEN rate at the point of arrival.

Hi Nic,

Thanks for your email, it is not just a teaser but this could be the most

exciting piece of machinery from Honda at the turn of this new millenium.

Lots of RC211V technology went into the production of this "Racer with

lights" and Honda CBR are well-known for its superb road handling manner.

It should be here by March onwards, I will keep you informed when it

arrived.

Boon Siew Honda now come with an Unlimited Mileage / 12 month warranty and

Safety Recall warranty.

You will be hearing from me.

Hi Nic,

Basically, we import only the Euro model and they comply with the LTA

standards. The USA models do not meet the LTA requirements.

As for the USA colour scheme, unless special order which will cost more, and

I can't say if that is possible, it might be difficult to meet the special

order requirement for the production floor.

Ok, I've worked out an equation some of you might find useful.

Price of 03 954 = 04 R1 = US$ 10,599.

03 954 OTR without ins = SG$ 20,200. (from local dealer)

Therefore 04 R1 should be around the above price.

Price of 03 1100XX = 04 1000RR = US$ 10,999.

03 1100XX OTR without ins = SG$ 20,800. (from local dealer)

Therefore 04 1000RR should be around the above price. :thumb:

Just add ins, and you'll have a pretty good idea of what you should be paying to ride it home.

Posted

Add in another $1.5K to 1.8K to the price after USD conversion.

THe R1 is $20,800 machine price.

After adding in COE, ARF, registrations etc etc, it's $22,500... still w/o insurance.

The price above already added all those COE, ARF, registrations, GST ...

The 03 954 is S$18.9, just machine price without ARF, COE, registrations ...

Posted

Also overheard that BT014 and Diablo Corsa will be the 2 OEM tyre of choice for the 1000RR. Go for the BT014 as it priovides better feedback than the Diablo.

So where have you seen the lowest R1 prices OTR w/o Ins?

I read that Bike Prod puts it at 22K 4% Int.

Hi Pai, just wanted to find out from you earlier the price of the Blackbird OTR because I discovered in US, the price of the Blackbird = price of 04 Blade.

Just wanted a ballpark figure, thanks for assisting.:thumb:

Haven't been asking. :giddy: Just trying to get a ballpark figure.

If you can get the OMV value, that would be more accurate.

Which nice handsome dude changed the title to Woopa btw? :cheeky:

( It was me: Dokz, you may not understand now but one day you'll thank me )

After comparing the price listing from UK , the CBR1000RR should be cheaper than the 2004 R1 .

Boon Siew says it'll be available next month. Yamaha is always faster to bring the bikes to the market. But already there's a recall for the 04 R1s.

I hope the extra time will translate to better QA on Honda's part.

Hmmm... R1s are not even on SG roads yet. In a few days prolly.

Recall for what?

Is that a clutch problem?
