1st pillion on the 08 Blade in SG ... opening "coffee shop". With his arms lifted up, even he himself couldn't stand his own BO, must cover his own nose, heh.

Getting RS with skyroof with paddle shift, don't have the colour I want. There's a sapphire blue piece in SG, but don't like that colour.

Really no idea on interest rate. Maybe someone else can help.

 

If not for strong possibility of a new V4 coming out in 09, I might get the 08 Blade too. According to an insider, the bike already exists, maybe 5 months from now, they will unveil it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

 

The 06 - 07 Blade may possibly be the last of the inline 4s with undertail exhaust. Another 8 years from now, it will be a rare sight.

Heh, how much are you willing to pay for a low mileage 08 Blade that is in good condition. Track use maybe only once of its entire lifespan, but most possibly none, since I always try to avoid riding in the sun at all cost.

 

My work place is now less than 5km, everyday travel less than 10km both ways. If I were to go up to KL, most probably will drive, so mileage definitely will be lesser.

 

If price is right, then maybe I'll get it and sell to you.

 

Most likely will keep everything stock with addition of raceshield only.

But I just did an overhaul on my 06 Blade. Spent about 1k servicing it, inclusive of all parts and fluids. Did valve clearance for the 1st time, cos BS mechs say if you do at the recommended 25,000km, there's no point, most times, when they dismantle and check on the clearance, there's nothing to adjust. 5 out of the 16 shims were changed, 11 were still good after 50,000km, amazing! Changed the sparkies for the 1st time, but looks like all 4 can last another 30,000km (maybe due to fitch catalyst), flushed the coolant, changed the brake & clutch fluid (to Dot 5 rather than Dot 4, they don't turn black, don't have to cover with arm band), changed to new timing chain, cam chain tensioner, front & rear sprockets, DID X ring, had them clean my previous BMC air filter and fit it back in, some rubber mountings were replaced somewhere, all in all, the labour is $380, still gave me additional 25% on parts and labour.

 

Bike feels smooth, engine like new. Think they also adjusted my idling, it is so low, but the engine doesn't stall.

 

No issue on the coil either after I had it changed at about 16,000km or 18,000km. Had been stuck in traffic many times with temperature going up to 106dc the most, no sign of failing once.

 

This is what I like about Japanese bikes, low maintenance. Of course, they will be occasional cases where someone will get a lemon.

 

Thought of getting a 1098 or 848, but every time I sit on Malcolm's 1098, the seat is so hard, and the side mirrors vibrate till you can't see anything, water vapour forming on the speedometer unit & headlights, feels so glad to jump back on the Blade. The 1098 felt like someone built an OSIM chair into it, vibrates too much. Maybe that's why women like Harleys & Dukes.

 

And they have to do valve clearance every 15,000km, I wonder how much it will cost.

At 1st was waiting for the bike, then waited so long until backside itchy, went to get a car, now waiting for car to come until whole body itchy, want to get a bike.

 

After looking at the pic of the Blade with the rear plate holder removed and with the R77 attached, looks very fierce, getting rashes already, must soak myself in calamine.

 

Somehow, the bike in the show room always look better than the bike you're riding.

I researched long long, waited for right time, got it at 65988.

 

Looks like you got SSR wheels for your Fit as well.

 

Your research yielded the same result as mine (hey, I always thought you had potential!), so I was playing with PS to match the Type C & F on the Fit.

 

Must prep the Fit so that by this year's MotoGP, it will stand a chance against the bikes to KL. Since the bikes must fuel up at Pagoh, the riders must smoke and rubba their spouse before getting on the bikes again.
