Sure no prob. For me, I was thinking of BlackBird with H&B panniers and tank bag.

i ever thought of that too! what are the other sportsbikes/ sports-tourer you can think of that can put side-panniers/ top box?

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

VFR800 I think very nice size for you. V4 Vtec power plant, nice under-seat mufflers, pro-arm, and best of all, you put 3 boxes also won't look ugly. Riding posture is gd. Lots of accessories and best of all, quite an above average tracker.

Kev, I think he more inclined to Sports-Tourer. My mech recommend me to get a Sports-Tourer if I intend to upgrade cos I more inclined to play corners. 160/60 tyres not big enuff for me. Slipped off the edges a few times liao. So if I were to upgrade, BlackBird is my option cos I just love Honda power plant. Smooth delivery...

Anyway, just msg me wat time you'll be goin lor. I at work in Exp-proof office no reception. After 5 then will read your msg.

Wah...great minds think alike :p I was thinking of getting either the VFR or Blackbird for class 2. Thinking whether should I buy a new set of Hepco panniers for the bike, or transfer from my S4. I think both bikes looks quite nice with panniers, especially with Hepco :p

Hopefully they have a ready rack to fit on these bikes, if not got to go through the hassle of customising and spending more money...

At the moment prefer something more sporty, but who knows when class 2comes might change my mind haha :)

But I like the power delivery of twin engines e.g. TDM, AT, Strom etc. The torque and the thump is just amazing :thumb: And yeah those adventures bikes looks great with fat ass set-up...in fact without fat asses they'll look like they're missing something

spot on.. i want a sports-tourer if i cannot get sportsbike... even if i got no time to venture up north, i need to have storage space for pillion's helmet and raingear, my own raingear on a daily basis as well. that's y i cannot give up at the very least, a topbox. and yeah, bikes that came across my mind include fz6, vfr, vtr, bb.

but all are quite heavy, IF i go track, it will be harder to handle..

hey im interested in adventure tourin bikes especially the tdm 900..my dream bike especially when it first came out in 2002.....most economical of all the e adventure bikes since it uses a parallel twin engine...not fancy at all.....

i tink il grab the next available tdm900 when i got enuff cash...

if cannot find tdm900....den blackbird's for me...both still look good w wing rack set ups...very straight forward....

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

Bro u might wanna consider DL650...FC claim to be like a spec 3...

This was my list of choice when i got my class 2,

BMW GS (realised i cant afford it haha)

Vstrom

Varadero

African twin

TDM

VFR

So when i finally past my class 2...it make me happy cause the shop that i patronize have a vstrom available at that moment...

but when i first get my 2b...I was always aiming for a SRAD when i finally get my class 2...lols...

If I were to get a Cl2 adventure touring, I think I'll be power-sliding thru corners. I have a tendency to go low when I see corners. I was interested in Vara 1K but my mech advise me that wif my riding style, those adventure bikes are really a no-no for me.

The BB 1st gen FI models are now ard 8-9K machine in the market. I might be getting a BB in time to come.

Kev: On a big and heavy bike with a heavy rider like me, I think the CBS might come in as a gd feature included with the bike. Furthermore its gonna have a full setup, a gd balance of braking optimise the stopping distance. But for tracking not so advisable. Some disable the CBS for tracking.
