What's bugging me now? The fact that i got caught in the rain for a mere 2.5seconds and now i'm sneezing like my nose is about to explode.

The haze + rain don't make a good combination.. nowdays I wear a mask to ride, at least some protection from the haze.

Relax.Getting a newer class of licence does not mean its compulsory to change. On the brightside you will be spending your lifetime with your loved one in a new home and 1 year lesser to wait for it.

As we go through the different phases of our life, our worries tend to change priority.

Let me start the ball rolling by giving an example:

It may seem like an important issue when I was younger, like hoping I won't become unpopular and everyone avoid making friends with me when I was still schooling, especially so in the teenage years.... and then now, at this stage in my life, it has become the least of my worries.

My advice is this: Not happy and cannot like me for what I am...then **** off. I was not born to please everyone. Even a prostitute cannot please everyone... and if I can, I will be worst than a prostitute. Because a true friend accepts you for what you are and encourages you to grow.

Just be who you are... of course within a reasonable context.

So what is your number one worry as of now?

Mebbe there are kind souls here who can advise you accordingly since they may have gone through the phase of worry you are having now.

Quite similar as mine arh your teenage years,

but it became the least of my many major worries now too. i won't deny im kinda bothered when someones unhappy with me i will try to be friendly but its still doesn't get better i'll just get over it sometime later and leave the person out.

Nope, found out just today how we can afford almost anything...just go buy & then owe it for more than 3 decades ( "decadent" debt? :cheeky: )

i always wonder why COEs so high, later found out people tie themselves with 7 years of debt to RENT a car for only 10 years. 7 years! that is longer than a govt bond or army sign on of 6 years 20 years ago! sorry if my data not updated, i dunno how long are the recent contracts. does not matter, it is the willingness that surprises me. What if car loans must be fully paid by 3 years & COE must be paid immediately...???

how did housing ( public / private ) become so "affordable". easy, just read on yahoo news today...

"Over the last three years, the average tenure for new residential property loans has increased from 25 to 29 years. More than 45 percent of new residential property loans granted by financial institutions have tenures exceeding 30 years," MAS said.""

my parents bought flats with 5-10 years debt in the 70s & 80s & they are both working class employees with no degree or diploma, just secondary school leavers & they are not bosses & have a salary around or even below national average at the time. Now degree or diploma holding professional couples "need" 30 years. wow! so that is "progress" leh, macam swiss standard :p

now, most young people get married at 30, just buy property & owe 30 years. easy!

ever expect to be retrenched at 39 ( my case ) have to be dispatch rider or taxi driver at 40? pay stagnate at 40 ( lucky you! ) also not enough if you have children ( not me:( ) or aging parents ( all of us , by LAW, don't play play, must pay ) to support. you may afford it at 30 but don't assume your pay will go up at 40, in fact after 55, employer CPF contribution will automatically cut.

maybe you need to change homes later & found out at 41, you can only borrow 24 years instead of 30 years?

many things can happen in 30 years, life is not a linear upward rise...pessimism is counter productive but over optimism is sometimes dangerous.

this post is just a personal ranting exercise to vent out my confusion at how the world has changed, it is NOT to tell you to not buy flats or get married, just a gentle reminder to all to please do your sums first...i have younger cousins in their late 20s rushing in with no fear cause they are afraid if they wait, they cannot "afford" a flat if prices continue to rise later.

if all flats become a million dollars, i rather sleep on the streets, why? cause i don't think my million dollar flat can give me a good night's sleep anyway , right? :p

nope, i am wrong again, just pray garmen import more FTs so i can rent out my flat to help pay for my loan. more FTs, i whine they take away our jobs. less FTs, again i whine thaot my flat value drops & rental rates drop so much that cannot cover my installment. heads or tail, we all lose. smart, huh?

"restrain" & "discipline" seems to be extinct dinosaurs in our age of " instant gratification".

"i" always like to complain Pay And Pay always no good, but every time "i" scared my estate no upgrading, my "ASS-et" home will fall in value, so i vote " lightning".

"i" always complain FTs take my job but i scared less FTs means less rent & less buyers, less COVs & less selling price for my "ASS-et", so that is why i vote " lightning".

but wait, now my children cannot afford COV , need papa & mama sponsor them or they cannot get married.:(

"i" always scare my children grow up cannot find jobs as they have to compete against more FTs, but i want more FTs now cause they are my customers for my small business & more importantly i can hire them on the cheap as Singaporeans don't want to work hard long hours for very low pay like FTs. "i" need to hire FTs cause my business cannot survive without them. please garmen, bring more FTs, "i" will vote lightning again.

wait...now my "Singaporean" children grow up cannot find jobs cause they are lazy & useless just like "i" said all singaporeans are...:(

Later we call Filipinos 'Go baks', they will say we racist then we go jail. We are becoming slaves of a monster of our own making. People need to wake up, their selfish, fault placing and complacent attitude is gonna be the cause of their own demise. Singaporeans. Tsk.

currently don't know whether to get bike from shop or direct owners.

if direct owners, worry later got alot of problems. (not good at spotting out bike faults at first look)

if shop, looks very pricey compared to direct owners.

hmm.

The advice I can give is not to rush to get the bike. Also bring someone who knows about bikes more than you when viewing the bikes. However make sure its someone you can trust.

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Was pumping petrol in MY, saw a Audi A4 driver drive to a pump, insert his credit card and look around then pump the Ron 95 petrol into his car.

After he finish pumping, a pump attendant came to check the pump and scolded him.

This Audi A4 driver just got into his car and shut the door.

Didn't know driving big Audi A4 also behave so cheap, hahaha

I hate deskbound jobs with work that simply does not stop, for every MC, leave or holiday I take, the work just keeps on piling.

I'd do that in a heartbeat if it pays well.
