RD350LC for sale: worth a look if you are interested in classic bike.

COE just renewed this year 10 years so can keep long long, no problem.

Need to let her go due to some future plans, cannot keep two bikes anymore.

Hi just wondering if its possible to mod a cb4oo to a cafe. Locally i havent seen one yet, even the pic. Can anyone share some pic or info bout how to go about to custom my cb 400 to cafe. Lastly what will be the cost for the mod. Thanks..

Anything is possible bro. Just have the end vision in mind. Start with eliminating unnecessary parts and focus on the major things like tank, seat, handlebars, lights to change the overall outlook. Many of them can be reused / you can sell them off to buy new parts like what I'm doing. For owners of triumph / custom bikers do checkout my sales thread for original triumph and custom parts - http://retrorumblers.com/letsroll/?p=4179

I have look around for Chang Jiang , nobody have one and i check with LTA for import they say no way :( .... Concerning the Ural or Royal Enfield you can import one but will not be so simple and the LTA have some good invoice for you , if you want a side car my recommendation will be to import only the side car and adapt in you selected bike , the LTA agree such mod if it's made in the rule of the art ....

That's before .... wait to see After

check out what i saw over the weekends! Puch bike!

IMAG0014.jpg

There's 5 unit of Puch in this workshop including this one. Other 4 were rustbuckets and I asked the mechanic if he planned to salvage the 4 for parts to fix this particular one, he told me no. he will restore all 5 of them though i'm not quite sure how he can accomplish it.

But still ups for the effort to restore and for the rare bike. Old school style.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

Hihi..

Yes. considering that ChangJiang are restored bike, LTA regulation doesnt permit it to be imported into Singapore.. For URAL, they are 700 cc bike, im still doing my class 2b, so it got to be 200cc and below..

After looking around, like what you say, import the sidecar and have a workshop assembled it for you.. Thats exactly what i want to do. Had a reply from a ChangJiang 750 manufacturer in China and they are prepare to sell me only the sidecar... i will then look for a retro looking bike and get it fixed onto it........

The concerns will be the extra weight a 200cc and below bike has to carried with the sidecar... a retro looking bike will probably be a Daelim Daystar 150 ? Will make a visit to CSK to checkwith them on this..

Any advise ?

Royal Enfield is available in Singapore , distributed by Universal Motors, same distributor for Pulsar ..... Alternatively, classic bike from Triumph motors is equally good looking. however, i think non of them are for class 2b....

your concerns are founded.

a 200cc bike pulling a sidecar would not be optimal.

expect a low top speed and the inability to travel on highways.

hill climbing would also be slow.

not impossible just that it will be sluggish.

The Daystar looks like ****, so dont bother.

Your best bet with class2b in my most honest opinion is a classic honda CD185 if you can find one. and forget the sidecar.

thanks for the suggestion.. a Ural/ChangJiang 750 sidecar attaching to a retro motorbike - speed is really not the concerns, its the fun factors : )

yes mates. royal enfield & triump is equally nice and surely powerful enough to carry a sidecar along..im still doing my class2b : )

a ural/CJ750 lookalike is just purely a lifestyle motorcyle to me.. will be fantastic to use it for touring too... haha

yes certainly.

but it will be really sluggish with sidecar.

tough to park and difficult to manouver.

my advice is hold out at least for a class 2a then your choices will be broaden greatly. perhaps get a simple class 2 b TW also very fun and good enough to move around. cheers
