I checked prices at Hou Heng at AGL and found them as expensive as Singapore. I find LAB(SG) prices much more cheaper than AGL.

hmm at least i got the nice nice brushed aluminium grips for $8.36 (idk if lab is cheaper)

and i replaced the chain n sprockets for $33.47

front sproc made in japan, rear sproc made in malaysia, Some random gold chain.

it's not the Original 520 O-ring tho. but i guess it doesn't make much diff...

Hey MJ, I understand there will always be some kind of noise in the helmet, but I want to hear from your experience.

 

It's ok if you don't try the phone calls, but can you feedback on the music quality? And the intercom quality?

 

Even better, can I borrow it from you for a few hours to try it with my pillion please? Can come pick it up an return it at your home

 

 

Like said different ppl have different taste .... as for me the comm is good enough in terms of music and call ..... lol

Conclusion

 

They say that good things come in small packages and that pretty much describes how I feel about the UClear HBC 100 intercom system.

 

UClear touts the technology used and well they should -- it works.

 

HBC 100 intercom audio is, hands down, the best I’ve ever used and audio output from the speakers is on par with the best as well. So let me be succinct here -- in comparing speech and audio quality to other systems I have evaluated or used and currently use the HBC 100 is "clearly" in the lead.

 

The ability to install the system on multiple helmets in virtually minutes is a real and very tangible advantage provided by the absence of a protruding boom or thin-wire microphone assembly. This eliminates a major fitment issue with so many helmets.

 

The UClear Digital website is an excellent resource, particularly if you want to delve deeper into the technologies harnessed for the HBC 100. The tutorial alone is worth a visit; it's well scripted and visualized. There is even a (free) UClear HBC 100 instruction App available from the Apple Store for use as a portable tutorial.

 

Acknowledging that some very worthwhile accessories are pending for this headset, my current impression is that UClear has a potential winner here.

 

If what I deem a shortfall -- no A2DP or AVRCP support for navigation devices -- is resolved, I’ll gladly remove the potential" from that statement and just call it the winner.

Hmmmmm .. ok need to go out again to NUH to visit my father who was admitted yesterday around 8pm .. under going operation later don't know what time .... no doubt a simple operation but for a 90 year old man to have a go in an operation theater is a scary feeling! ... and for his age to have a full aneasthetic .. there might be a risk factor too .... so guys/gal ... do wish for his safety and health recovery ....... appreaciate your efforts! ...

When I checked with Hou Heng for fork oil change I was quoted 65RM I went to LAB and got it done fo 15$. I got my chain and sprockets changed at LAB for 35$. But the chain was std roller chain and not o-ring.
