Be warned! As the title suggests, this will be a random adventure to UM! haha. Let the pictures and captions explain it all. Enjoy!

The goods that were flown all the way from Indo. Unveiled for the very first time in UM.

And who else who can handle it better than our Trusty Ah Teck? :)

IMG_0318.jpg

They even come with Instruction Sheets for those who wish to DIY! Alvin & Atipo, for you bros.

IMG_0319.jpg

The only downside to the product. Only has 2 support screws (stock is 4), and there's a bit of gap after installation. But nothing that you can't modify to make it suit to your liking!

IMG_0325.jpg

And of course, nothing feels better than having a thorough wash up (especially if it's anything white!) after the bike has gone through a transformation!

Stay tuned for Part II! :D

@YenYu, By right your voltage at start should be around 12V. If you lots of crap installed that's drawing power at start (alarm being one of them), it'll show 11.9 or 11.8. Anything below I would be worried.

When riding, how much is the voltmeter showing ?

Alvin is right, you have to investigate by unplugging/plug back accessories one by one.

Oh, also, if you have a multimeter, test your battery's voltage to make sure it's not the battery that's gotten weak.

Done... Problem found. Found out that the light bulb is draining too much of voltage already... Which my bike cant support.

Went down to bikewerks and told the mech abt my problem.

First, he on the bike, volage is 11.2~11.3 without starting the bike.

Second, he did an hour charge for my battery, then on the bike, voltage was at 12~12.5

Next, run the bike, alrite, voltage is near 12.9~13.4. Trottle abit, it move up to 13.7 and drop back to 13.4.

He mention when turning to on mode, it should be around 12.8~13, after ignition it should flow up from 13~ ard 13.8~14.

Did one by one:

1)There's no problem with the hazard light as he took out the wire again and join it back.

2)Voltmeter vs Multimeter, measurement is correct, it does tally up down 0.1v

3)Pull out my alarm, voltage remain stays near 12.9 to 13.1

4)Pull out light bulb, votage gradually charge up till 13.8~14.1.

Saw that there is a great jump in voltage, we try fix it back the light bulb, it drops back to 12.9~13.1

In conclusion, the light bulb greatly affect the voltage for start up the bike. :(

I must say, indeed Osram nightbreaker plus has a real good throw of the light :thumb:, but it's not really suitable for FZ16 due to the weak charging and small cap of battery. Sign :( Problem lies in the bike which cant support high watts light bulb, not the fault of lightbulb. Cheers~ Problem solve. Now when crusing, voltage hited 14.5v~14.6v max. :thumb:

hmmm

what is your battery specs?

for pulsar our battery spec is 12V 9amh

another issue might be your rectifier is not able to handle the charging

well you can try mods from indon for the byson there

so your meter restarting on its own also caused by the bulb?

Dropping to say hi!...

@FiddyCent, nice job on the bike, very nice lah, like power ranger...

Anyway, regarding voltmeters... is it to check the current flow if we install stuff that tap the wiring?

So for my bike that is purely stock, no added items, it is not necessary to install one?...

the main purpose of the volt meter is to measure the voltage that is in the system...

so even if you have no gadgets installed also can put...

the sudden drop of voltage, voltage before start bike, voltage while riding etc can help you predict and/or narrow down where is the fault...

I not sure on my battery specs Lea...

The bulb is draining quite high voltage which causing the ignition to have a sudden drop in the voltage.. Thats why the cdi reset.

I believe it's the rectifier that might affected the charging power of the batt. It's not strong enough :(
