Wen u going? Cars will always be congested. Congested bikes depends on timing. Luckily I got MACS so no need finger pointing scan.

FiddyCent is back from Tekong Bay Resort! The 10 days were crazeeee... think i only got 6 days worth of sleep throughout the entire exercise.. haha.

 

anyway @O'Ren, i've been using Shinko (korea made) tyres for about 3 mths+now. definitely better than stock's. a lil bit more grip. but i still take precaution during turns on wet roads/mscp. cost me bout $104 if i'm not wrong. front (80/80) and rear (130/80) from LAB.

 

But here's the thing, when i got to their workshop, they couldn't fit the front tyre cos it will hit the front fender even though the tyre had same ratio as stock's. not sure of the cause though.

 

So in the end, the mechanic swapped it with Dunlop's TT900 (80/70 - a lil shorter) and i'm content. afterall, dunlop has better review and cost more. and I don't have to top up the amount or anything. The bike feels much "lighter" to handle though, but nothing that you can't get used to.

 

And after not starting my bike for 10 days, the push start took me quite an effort. but only because i realized that i had the engine kill switch to off. huahua! had to make 2 trips up the slope.

 

Anyway, just a tip to those who wish to try the push start; try releasing the clutch a bit by a bit. let it "makan" a bit. i tried releasing it quickly a few times just now and my rear tyre burned some rubber as the wheel got locked.

I intend to get a brand new P200 this coming weekend. But was just wondering if a 6% interest rate is too high in the market now?

 

And what are your opinion of getting a new bike from UM? Any other places for recommendation of getting a new P200? Maybe it would have been cheaper?

 

Bro..if u buy brand new interest shud be 3-4% max..onli if u buy 2nd hand e interest rate will be 4-7%(also depends on ur downpayment too for sum shops). So if e shop reali charge dat high interest, better find elsewhere. Best u go universal motor(nt unique hor juz in case u got misconception)..safest place to get ur pulsar..good luck shoppin durin tis GSS..hehehe

when i first got my p180 like 2 years ago, i thought the battery was flat cos i couldn't start it at all... only to realize the kill switch was put to off. Not my fault! on the pulsar on and off position is reversed from all the other bikes i've owned!

My opinion, if you are willing to keep the bike for 5 yrs+ only then buy a new pulsar. The pulsar depreciates very badly. After 2-3 years if you want to sell your bike, there wont be any takers even at 3000$. See the depreciation? Whatever you spend on the bike is also totally waste, you will never recover it. Best thing is to buy a used pulsar for cheap full cash.

This was the deal i got after the long chat with chris.

 

P180( Black, New ), Free 48L Zeus storage box + bracket, Free Helmet, Free Leg Guards

 

Inclusive of IU unit + IU bracket, COE ( SGD2,491, sad ), 1/2 year road tax, Insurance ( im below 21 with 0 years riding exp. sad again. ), Registration fees, transfer of ownership.

 

i asked for a change to Duro tyres, front and rear. He offered to help me put up Probation stickers, road tax disc.

 

Everything added up to SGD7,850 netttt.

 

I was kinda touched, ( no, im straight. ) when he seem to think about it for a long time, and threw in the leg guards as he said he wanted to see me safe and happy too. Haha, i dont know whether it was just good acting for the sake of good service on his part, but i still decided to give him the THUMBS UP!

 

think i wont be going to any other bike shop for some time. =)
