forget the swift for the time being cos in spore driving car is not that fun actually ... with the traffic congestion, mileage on fuels, maintenance, road tax, insurance, parking lots, trafffic summons, parking summons, etc .. you cam't compare to bike!!

 

your desire like mine during my younger aged ... I quit riding at the age of 23 and drive a car for more than 20 years until last 3 years before coming back to bike.

 

To compare the maintenance for a year for a bike .. you can save time and money till you finished studies and can decide for a car in future.

 

Discuss with your parents .. the pros and cons on both vehicles. Accidents can happen anywhere and honestly speaking the suffering is more if you drive and knock a motorcylist rather than a motorcylist knock a car!! .. Till now whenever I drive I'll get a little phobia with motorcyclist in front of me!!

Hey guys, im caught in a situation.

 

Ever since i started riding, my dad and mum has been disapproving of it.

But since i bought my P180 using my own money, they pretty much couldnt do anything about it.

 

Now, the problem arises, my mum offers to buy a second-hand Suzuki Swift for me just so i could stop riding. ( my dream car since 2007 when i got my driving license. )

Her condition is that i must sell my bike away in order for her to buy me the Swift.

This situation is both a happy and sad case for me seriously. And i feel like ****.

 

My Pulsar180 has only been 1month 11 days old. I have had good times on it, bringing me wherever i wanna go with the godlike Fuel Consumption.

I paid S$7,850 for this new bike ( abit exp due to hike in COE, insurance for me was 1.4k )

I have taken a VERY good care of it and it is SERIOUSLY still kinda brand new.

I did my run-in really well i daresay.

 

So people, if i'm gonna sell my P180, how much should i ask for? =(

 

great that your mum wants to buy you a car...

but i think you need to sit down to talk with your parents...

btw sg or m'sia plate?

installment?parking?fuel?

not that i am against driving a car...

i drive also so i know the comfort and the pain also...

but is all about see what you want...

Probably parents will take care of the expenses like season parking, fuels and other stuffs. Alvin u going to AMK tonight? Whose going? Which part of amk are u all going? I also hate the traffic jams for cars. But haiz. When i ride bike i hate to pillion anyone. Even my gf. I dun mind either either car or bike la. If my parents really offer the car i will just sell e bike n take the car. Sg plate anyway. I'm PR n i cant drive msia plate in sg!

season parking: $80 to $90 per mth for covered mscp, $60 to $70 per mth for open air carpark...cost depends on area also...

Practically no. most sg drivers I met and talked in jb , some said, no need, cos the custom guys never checked at all, some say at least half a tank, some say full empty also can. Dpend on situations. if ur unlucky on dat day, u’d probably get caught and fined above sgd$100 on d spot. U can appeal if its d first time. Despite the ‘laws’ implemented, the jams and other hoo haaas, sg drivers still go jb to pump. Still, d costs of owning a car is so much more than a motorcycle.

my dads car, at his age which is in his 60's, insurance plus road tax = $800 for six months. imagine if u r in ur early 20s. guess how much is ur rd tax and insurance for six months..... unless someone older than you bought a car and gave it to you.....

Season parking, $65 and above…..

Petrol : at least $200 per month

Dun forget about coupons, cashcards.. and maintanence...

The best is ask uncle mobilenerd…..

 

Pulsar: installment at least $70 and above dpend on how long u tie d installment bond.

Season parking : $15 and above.

Petrol: if u pump in jb often with ron 95 full tank, u only spend the max of sgd50 per month.

maintainence; worst case scenario: total overhaul which cost at least $600 or more...

i own an opc suzuki liana(reason y i by opc is because i dun enjoy drivin and i dun wan to chauffeur ppl ard..hahaha)

 

here's the breakdown for u guys:

 

Mthly Instalment: $300

Season Parking(MSCP): $90

FC: About 13km/l..swift cnnt reach 15km/l uh..their torque so high..mine is manual btw

Insurance: Based on my age(26+) n 15% NCD $1600++

Rd Tax + Radio: $125 per yr which is the revised OPC

Full Tank: 40L

Full Servicing: $200+(engine oil spark plug all dat)

Tyres: Depending on e brand..range ard $80-120 for 15" tyres

 

I got a few friends working in ICA, the most ON team is team Alpha..they will surely check whether u r 3/4 or not..but as long as u r at least above the half level, usually they will let u off..

I just join the Pulsar Family 2wks ago. I got few Questions abt P200.

 

1. How many Km? before change engine oil. Can see pyhsically on the engine?

2. Chain lube When to spray?

3. On the rpm indicator, beside it got 1 red round light indication, mine when start engine it came ON and my bike RPM at 2000 at idle. Anything wrong?

 

Anyone can help me with these queries?

1st or 2nd hand?

 

1) how many km need to know your mileage 1st. or what you can do now is do a change and start counting from there.normally about 2000km-3000km do EO change...mobil 1 fs tried push to 4000km but is up to you...

2) according to manual is every 500km...depends on individual also...some like sis o'ren every 300+km

3) that is your main tank low fuel indicator and it will blink when your rpm hits the redline...what is your fuel level now?
